  1. Crouch? Kuyt? Lucas? Voronin
  2. Well you didn't read it then, I take it. At least he acknowledged that it's difficult to see us get out of this slump this season. Most likely to happen only after the summer. I usually like his articles, but this one didn't bring up any new or interesting points. A complete waste of 5 minutes. (thank God I'm at work)
  3. Tomkins
  4. I think Rafa should rest all the senior players in this and concentrate on the Villa game. No, wait...
  5. I agree but we've been saying that for a couple of months now.
  6. Ant and Kev taking a holiday off the forum
  7. Seeing as Carra was suggested a few pages ago, how about someone like Degen? He doesn't play as much as Carragher, so could better concentrate on the management side of things,
  8. BBC
  9. He probably smacked a mirror in anger.
  10. We should've had though. Pacheco or Ecclestone for instance. edit: or Babel
  11. ^ a very good point
  12. I'm still inclined to think that we should stick with Rafa. However, at the moment we have 7 defeats in the league and are out of the CL. This means that we can't afford any more slip ups. If we were to lose at Villa Park and go out of the FA cup against Reading, I'd definitely want him sacked there and then as basically we'd be out of all 3 cup competitions and the race for 4th by early January. I'd be happy with any of Mourinho, Capello, van Gaal, Hiddink, but I don't think any of them would take the job. And why would they? The Hodgson shout is not the worst one IMO. I've been very impressed with what he's done with Fulham and in Scandinavia before that. Also his record with Switzerland and Finland is pretty good. The thing with RH is that he's the type of manager who will do well with limited resources, i.e. keep it tight and try to get something from the role of an underdog. Not sure he'll do as well when he's in charge of one of the "big clubs" himself, as his record at Inter shows. Whether we'll be in the category of the big clubs anymore I'm not sure. The downside of course is that his style of football is defensive (and maybe boring to watch) in the extreme, I mean nothing Houllier or Benitez have done comes even close.
  13. I hope this is true. Only I wish he'd have replied to them saying something like: 'HOLA AMIGOS! U THINK OWEN IS A NICE BOY AND "PERFECT". I THINK HE'S A s*** CVNT. NO DEAL, NO? -LATERS, RAFA'
  14. Was he having sex with 'appy 'arry?
  15. Get the lads overseas for a few days break to re-group and get the spirits up. Discuss the tactics with the players and maybe ask Kenny to contribute as well. Then come back and start with this team injuries permitting: Reina Johnson-Carra-Agger-Aurelio Benayoun-Aquilani-Lucas-Riera Gerrard Torres Keep this team and rotate Kuyt and perhaps Babel with the wide players depending on form and fitness. Obviously bring Mascherano back in for Lucas after his suspension. Tell them to approach the game with a bit more attacking outlook and with no fear of conceding as such. Buy loads of good players in January with the tons of money you get from selling Voronin, Degen, Dossena, Skrtel and Kyrgiakos.
  16. f*** me Chelsea are also an absolutely detestable side.
  17. Either him or Father Christmas.
  18. The Fulham game last year for instance.
  19. I quite like him, actually. Seems a good lad and I think he's a decent player too. A million miles from wasters like Voronin and Degen.
  20. Fulham 2-0 by the way. Ok, have to say I smiled a bit.
  21. I don't get any joy out of the Mancs losing games anymore. Football has gone absolutely s*** for me.
  22. Carra Agger? Torres? (only for effort though, nothing came off for him today)
  23. I ask again: Are we too good to go down?
  24. Jay coming on
  25. YES! (haha)
