Not a chance

He was at Arsenal as a youngster, correct. He is certainly a decent player at Danish league standards. As Aggermania says he is a usually (goal above aside!) not so flashy, playing as holding midfielder doing a lot of work breaking up play and handing the ball over to the likes of Retov to build up attacks.

Was on the Faxe yesterday to see this - it went mental afterwards It needed something like that to break through the 10 man defensive wall... first half was so boring I was tossing up going to the bar to watch the first half of the Man City game at halftime. Definitely one of the best goals I have seen live, agreed. Kaizer: Gislason has definitely grown into his new role as captain and has been playing well. It's good to see that quite a few of the new faces (Gisla, Holmen, von Schleebrugge) seem up for the fight back up the table, are playing well and look happy at the club. It's still a paper thin squad at Brondby though with mainly youth players to fill in for injuries. Quite some rebuilding to do I think.

gotta be VdV! let the celebrations commence

No doubt when the Echo do their combined 11 at season end we'll be seeing a midfield of Carsley and Neville

And yet 2 of my best friends, who are both Villareal fans, love their team, and know good and bad players when they see them, can't wait to see the back of him. Now, why would that be if he played like that week in, week out, or even 2 games from 3? Thankfully Rafa also watches Spanish football.

Tommy Smith wrote a number of Echo articles to that effect He also played left back (away against Villa, did well)

Had to laugh second half when he said 'if it was me i'd get Pennant off and play Gerrard wide right'

Not only that but he admitted he made it. Xabi will play, nailed on cert.

Playing left midfield with Traore at left back...all you need to know

*crosses fingers*

Is right, Fergie's had a few goes at Vieira...

Second longest consecutively after JC is he?

Paletta to cover the 4th/5th depending on Zenden situation midfield slot?

I don't get to see English football (us aside) as much as the majority of you... I'm interested to know if people think Rooney could become as good an attacking player as Barnes was for us?

is right

When was the last time anyone had success at Newcastle anyway? Take your pointthough. The Beardsley thing is pretty embarrassing, the huge howler we made getting rid of such quality when he had another 7 years or so in him....

The last time this happened it was Keegan's genius plan to play Southgate as holding midfielder to mark Mehmet Scholl... couple of hours later... Having said that, a 352 might work.

And Crooks played for... well I never!

Slight exaggeration there

I think Podolski will struggle to come to terms with leaving Cologne let alone mving out of Germany ...

Think Harry had him on trial at West Ham so should know a thing or two about him... he's not been special in the German league though, nothing like as good as Hleb and look at the impact he's made this season so far...

The 2nd best player in the world????? Posts merged: You have to be careful with those initials.....
