  1. Had to pick this one up. HOW many shots did Swe have off the line and post? A mile better 2nd half. U can hope Germany beat them if u like but Eng are poor & ur over zealous defence of them is interesting
  2. As I'm using my phone I wont dwell on the fact that the delusionists who think England have the players or ability to win this WC are becoming more amusing by the day. ?A Sweden team in bad form made a show of them in the 2nd half and the wonder spud wandered off in a rage. Sane people seem to suspend their sense of football disbelief when it comes to England. A 2nd tier team at best.
  3. This playing to gain/avoid a particular draw theory is over-exagerrated. Playing in 2nd gear because you know you're already qualified is one thing, but trying to get yourself a better draw is much more difficult to achieve and regardless of the exception that proves the rule normally futile.
  4. I say sign only Jewish players so that Mossad will bust them out if the FA ever give them a suspension.
  5. They've also had 2 and 5 PM kick offs so maybe it's just your body clock?
  6. Resting your best players is important as peaking too soon is foolhardy. Sven would never peak in such a naive manner. For example, in the last World Cup England cleverly eked their way through the group, playing solid if unentertaining football, before a solid win against Denmark. No peaking. Then they had to decide whether to peak against Brazil or to cunningly save that peak for the semi-final a few days later. In an incredible stroke of bad fortune, a ridiculus Ronaldinho goal put them behind and the strategy of not peaking was cruelly dispatched by a team who had innocently peaked too early in the tournament. That's football for you.
  7. Go to the bank, get out twelvty million and buy whoever Rafa wants (possibly Kuyt). Potentially good signing as Bellamy is, we don't know for sure who is leaving nor will he deliver 17 goals next year as a 'support' striker.
  8. Sheds the Spanish Inquisition in a new light.
  9. My guess is that the yellow and black wristband Derek Boateng wore was for AIK, where he plays. Hooligan sympathiser.

Is it too late to point out that the beginning of the end was surely when we beat them 5-4 in the UEFA cup final?
  11. Some of the rugby players do the most cúntish things imaginable. Like Gordon D'Arcy writing 'South' on the tongue of his right boot and 'Side' on the left one... Irish-Dublin reference but unimagineably t***tish.
  12. bertie Aherne hosted the RTE MOTD once. Cringetastic just doesn't begin to describe it. I can't think which civil servant even remotely interested in keeping his job would suggest that as a way of 'connecting' to football fans.

  15. She sure is.
  16. As my mate saud, Essien is like Nathalie Portman. Neither have looked as good as they did after Lyon.
  17. They had a million or so in and around the main square in Seoul for the Italy game in 2002. And about an hour after the final whistle, they all stopped celebrating, picked up their own rubbish and left. 30 minutes later cars were using the roads again as if nothing much had happened.
  18. They are class. They have two main chants. I forget one but the other sounds as if its: "Oh pisson Ko-rea Oooohhh pisson Korea Oh pisson Korea Oh oh oh oh oh oh" Or something very like it.
  19. He particularly likes the new D800. He read the tagline in that footballer's magazine Jamie Redknapp publishes: "Imagine a slim slide up phone that has everything inside." http://uk.samsungmobile.com/index.jsp

  22. I think he wants to move because Chelsea are sponsored by Samsung Mobile.
  23. Like every other 'voluntary' body, they should have limited and non-renewable terms of office. 4 years max in one position and no honorary life positions. Very easy to sort out but I don't suppose the turkeys will vote for Christmas. FIFA didn't handle the ticketing but I take your point.
  24. Totally agree and was a bit of an eye opener for me as I hadn't seen much of him at OL
