After all the Cisse bashing, which has taken a scary life of its own (there have been hundreds of over-the-top posts on this thread alone) and lord knows how long it will continue, I find it odd that no-one has yet produced a youtube clip of his laziness, utter incapability, fault, slouching, misses, moodiness etc. Some people have gone through a lot of trouble thinking of new ways to slag him off, why not compile a clip while you're at it? And if one already exists, please paste the link. The previous scapegoat Vladimir Smicer redeemed himself in his last game by scoring an important goal (or two) and kissing the badge. Cisse also scored a superb goal in his last game, a very important one too at a crucial time just before half-time in a Cup Final. But no such luck for him in the eyes of the 'fans'. He's destined to be mentioned in the same breath with the Dundees and the Kozmas and the Piechniks, NONE of whom nobody actually have seen play in a Liverpool shirt.

But it's the first ten yards that count.

Do you honestly think ruthless Rafa would have given a single minute of playing time to a lazy player. Or kept him on the field if he wasn't listening or following his advice. I don't think so. And as far as I know the move isn't official yet...

Just to rub it in, and while you're at it why not add that he twice broke a leg that belonged to Liverpool FC.

Well, look it up. The transfer of the Hungarian pair was publicised on the 27th of May and Rafa was quoted as saying he's very pleased. The pair were courted by Real, Ajax and PSV and we had been looking at them for a long time.

I admire your instinct. My feeling is that they simply really love playing for us. Xabi, for example, doesn't strike me as someone who is money driven. The same goes for Pepe, Stevie and Carra. Who else has signed a new contract? Generous is such a broad term, could be interpreted as anything from '5% raise' to 'over the odds' and even 'record breaking'...

Actually we haven't broken our transfer record that frequently. Prices go up and it's inevitable that we'll have to pay more. But I think we've been very moderate in that sense, not paying over the odds. Very shrewd, because sometimes we get a Hyypia or an Agger for relatively cheap. Only these last few seasons has the market become a megabuck madness. And we don't REALLY know who Rafa wants, it's all speculation by the media. Maybe he doesn't WANT to pay the 30+ mio quid. Maybe he wants players with lower profiles (and smaller egos). As for the 'fact', the 'multiple sources' and the 'significant transfer funds' you refer to. It's all b******s, a spin doesn't become a fact even if it's repeated ad nauseam (sp?). Just for the record I'm one of them 'optimists', like fyds, I don't know. And I don't think anybody else here knows either. In you latest post you refer to the details of the new contracts and 'I think they would surprise you in terms of how much the players are getting' as if you knew something. I very much doubt it.
