  1. Depressing to see us like this at Anfield...
  2. We are sitting too deep. Is this Hodgson's preferred style or are they just pushing us back?
  3. Cancelled my e-season ticket due to the mess made by Purslow and the appointment of Hodgson. Childish maybe, but it made me feel better Cancellation Thank you. Your cancellation request has been confirmed and we will not take any further payments. You will be able to access your e-Season Ticket until 02 July 2010, this being the end of the period for which you have already paid.
  4. Johnson & Insua....best pair of full backs in years! I can't remember last time we had a pair that exciting going forward!?

    Madrid

What??! He was great IMO. Defended very well, good passing, held the width well and did a good job in general.
  6. Dossena is so frustrating... I would sub him now with Insua.
  7. Mascherano back, Keane benched are the only changes.
  8. Dossena..... how many crosses has he mis-hit under no pressure at all. Shocking.
  9. Why play a lot of high crosses against a team with one strenght; aerial ability. Our lack of creativity is shocking. Keane looks like waste of money to me....

    Transfer thread

The idea of spending a total of almost £40 mill on Barry and Keane seems like total madness to me... If wish we could keep Alonso and spend some money on a world-class creative player like Silva.
  11. God I will miss Xabi if we sell him....
  12. Any other youngsters in the squad? Would be nice to see Nemeth get some minutes on the field today.
  13. Anyone know if DIC is likely to back Benitez? Or would they prefer to bring in someone else? I really hope they give Benitez a long contract and injects some stability into the club.
  14. I am sure that protests will have an effect. Gillette's son is at Anfield and will report back, the media will cover it etc. These last few weeks have been surreal. I feel that I almost can`t relate to this s*** anymore. Two d****eads are seriously messing up our club. This must stop before I lose interest in football. I f***ing hate Hicks!
  15. Plessis
  16. Ah, look! Three great friends enjoying the game. Rafa, Parry and Gillette jr.
  17. Nemeth IS class. Great goal!!
  18. Van der Meyde. From Ajax, to Inter to the Everton reserves... what a destiny.
  19. Own goal after a corner.
  20. Good first half. Pretty scrappy at times, but with Bolton that`s expected. Midfield has played well, Torres too. Crouch has been dissapointing IMO. Heavy first touch, too little movement and falls over a lot.
  21. Parry denies this story in the echo tonight and "close sources" to Hicks does the same. More denials than the Rafa-exit rumous gave us. stuff about hicks from tribull: Hicks assures Liverpool he's staying tribalfootball.com - November 30, 2007 Liverpool co-owner Tom Hicks is angry with reports stating that he is preparing to sell his stake in the club. PA Sport says sources close to the American millionaire say he was made aware of speculation growing about a rift with co-owner George Gillett, and suggestions that he would be selling up, several days ago. It is believed that in conversations earlier this week Hicks was angered by the suggestions and denied them to key figures at Anfield. Hicks and Gillett are believed to be on the brink of sealing finances to build their revamped £400million new stadium in Stanley Park. In the current tough financial market that has taken them some time and they have found world banks reluctant to loan cash for such a major scheme. And in the midst of this, the row with boss Rafael Benitez over transfer policy has also sprung up, with the prospect at one stage that the Spaniard's public insubordination could cost him his job. But in recent days that conflict has been smoothed over, thanks largely to a lengthy meeting between Parry and Benitez ahead of Wednesday's 4-1 Champions League win over Porto. It was around this time, it is understood, that Hicks made it clear that speculation about him selling up was not true.

    Hicks

Hicks really seems to be a prick of the highest order. The piece below is from an article from the Daily Mail about what happened when Hicks two weeks ago sacked the general manager of his baseball team: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/arti...in_page_id=1779 "Whether the change of tack has come in time to save Benitez from the wrath of Hicks remains to be seen. A cheery smile may be constantly on standby for the nearest camera, but the Texan's 'good ol' boy' image only goes so far. When it comes to business, he acts on instinct first and thinks about the consequences for others later, if at all. After seeing his Dallas Stars ice hockey team struggle in the NHL, he decided the time had arrived for action a fortnight ago and sacked general manager Doug Armstrong without even consulting president Jim Lites. There was a good reason for that. Lites was on his way, too, after Hicks decided he should be replaced by his Texas Rangers baseball team president Jeff Cogen. As he surveyed the carnage that was completed in the space of 24 hours, Hicks let out a sigh of satisfaction and said: "I'm the owner. It's what I do. Honestly, I feel very good today. I think I'm getting a lot accomplished. "I feel good about the direction of the baseball team now. It's taken a while. Now, I want to get the hockey team back to where it was at. I want it to be at an elite level."
  23. Agreed. I`ll post it there. I am really proud to a LFC supporter when seeing all this action being taken to save our manager. it would be fantastic if we could succeed where others have failed. Really show the world again that Liverpool is a special club.
