I am wondering how much money Hicks and Gillette really have? Can`t they afford a f***ing plane ticket to get here for a meeting? If there is a crisis in your company then you should at least head over to the main office to listen to your employees. I think I`ve never been this angry and disillusioned for something sports related. I didn`t like the body language of Aldo and Reade on .tv. They seemed really stressed when the Rafa topic was brought up. The host as well. Aldo kept swallowing like a mad man. I might be a bit paranoid now, but I got the feeling that they knew he was gone.

I think my love for LFC and football in general would need a long rest if Rafa is sacked by those americans. If they decide to appoint Mr Maurinho as well I think it`s fair to say that something has died in LFC. It`s just not the Liverpool way and would lead us into a turmoil that will take a long time to mend. I am starting to hate Hicks/Gillette.

I really hope the reds travelling to Newcastle this weekend will let the americans know that Rafa is held in high regard among red supporters.....

Leto is showing some amazing skill. I think he will be some player for us when he gets used to playing PL football and gets some confidence playing there.

Take some time to review our team sheets for this season and the one before. Start counting how many games Agger, Carra, reina, Finnan, Alonso and Gerrard were not included and not injured. And wait till you get sober;).

Sorry, but if Alonso had struggled you would have been on Rafas back for playing an unfit player.

How many games have we "rotated" our key players like Carra, Agger, Alonso and Gerrard (the same will apply for Torres when he has bedded in)? Very few times (if you don`t do as the bunch of jerks in media or former players and inlude games where those players are injured). The same goes for Finnan. It`s just 2 or 3 positions where players are rotated regurlary.

There`s certainly differences in how Wenger and Rafa approaches the game (and I must admit to being a fan of Wenger`s approach, but there`s not many like him actually succeeding in world football), but as you say: Some of Rafa`s purchases indicates that he wants to play a different brand of football. Remember that some of the players lacking in skill are not bought by Rafa (not replaces due to different factors) and that most players bought after he received substantial financial backing are actually to new to be judged here. I think that when the injured players returns (and hopefully stays fit) and the new players have bedded in, we will see the real "rafa`s Liverpool". A team where players like Aurelio, Agger, Alonso, Babel, Benayon and Torres will make sure the technical level is good enough. I just hope that stupid critizism from "expert" former players and pundits won`t make him leave us before he gets that far....

You`re probably right, but I don`t think Gerrard would have been in Rafa`s dream 11 if external things (background, standing among supporters and media, etc) did not influence.

Somehow I think Rafa`s idea is to play a totally different style of football than what we saw today (there were signs of that early in the season IMO), but injuries to Agger and Alonso together with the poor form of some key players are letting him down. Ideally, I think Rafa sees Gerrard as anything but the ideal choice as playmaker in the middle, but fan preassure makes him playing him there...

Kuyt is such a frustrating player IMO. Lots of effort, but his passing lets him down and all his best moves are made miles away from the goal. He`s a striker, but never seems to be in a position to actually hit the target,

The last half an hour it seemed like Babel rediscovered something he did in Holland, but not so far in a red shirt: That he has the pace and skill to beat to take players on and get a good cross in. The run he had late in the game when Voronin (?) missed in fornt of goal was class. More of that please.

Agreed. This ideas together with a couple of players in come January and I think we'll be fine. It`s refreshing to read something constructive, not just "sack rafa"-posts....
