exactly right - thats why I keep saying we need creative wide players who are a goal threat, get them and watch us score goals from all over the park would love to get Eto'o and Iaquinta ( as I recal Iaquinta is the guy setting them up for Torres, the only down side is this guy could also be dubbed a second striker and we have Crouch, Kuyt, Bellamy and Voronin who specialise in that position )

it has to be said that most of our strikers could be classified as support strikers not the main goalscorer type - maybe thats because of how Rafa wants them to play or because we never had the money to get an out and out striker ---- what's worrying is with the 3 support strikers we have - we go for Voronin Given the past it would be consistent of Rafa to go for a support striker rather than an out and out striker, but support strikers are rarely clinical or creative enough to allow the team to get away without an out and out striker or real creative talent I think Rafa has Brian Clough syndrome, ie can pick a player for every position other than striker If we are to continue without an out and out striker we really need to get better wide men so we force the opposition to defend deeper and be stretched across the width of the pitch so there is room for the midfield to run into and score

I would say Ronaldo's form is the big reason the mancs are ahead of us this season - little luis has won us many a tight match - and as for kewell, wasnt his performance the reason we beat the mancs in the cup ?
