agreed ( see bold) but its never easy finding the right striker - Shevchenko should have been a hit at Chelsea yet oddly enough the striker who's benefiting is Drogba ? its taken Drogba 3 seasons to really get going, and then only when Chelsea changed their formation ( which is part of their probs now IMHO ) if we're going to have to wait a while then buying young makes the most sense ..... but you never can tell who will make it or not even C Ronaldo took 3 seasons to really start firing for Utd

if we are to sign young talent, 1 - we should get them in ASAP so they get used to the English game 2 - we should arrange lots of games either by loaning them to someone like Crewe on the agreement THEY WILL BE PLAYED REGULARLY or we should set up a North England Mini-League Young players don't just need coaching they need games, and games for the correct kinds of teams so loaning a striker to sunder land is not a good idea unless he's in the Old fashioned UK striker mould

to me that should make no difference whatsoever - if the player is owned by a 3rd party that could influence the player - how does it matter whether the player is on loan or permanent ? The FA are just wasting time, they have to ok the deal, and when they do we can make an offer for Fernandez too < evil grin>
