One thing I picked up in Klopps interview was how he had been asked to rebuild the whole club - whereas as pep stepped into a money no object set up where the dof and all other key roles were filled for several years by people he knew and had worked with at Barca. That’s going to take its toll and is no doubt part of the reason he can’t keep going at this pace, but hopefully it also means we are in a much better place now to actually move forward rather than needing another complete overhaul.
It feels with Alonso that if we don’t move for him this summer, then Bayern or more likely Real will if not this summer then next. So in the absence of other truly outstanding candidates I think we probably will push for him as first choice.
As he says, he manages with his whole being and can’t do it any other way
he’s tired
its f***ing exhausting watching his teams, imagine creating it, being responsible for every aspect of it
Absolutely gutted
hes made an increasingly grim ‘sport’ bearable and brought unbelievable joy as well as integrity. We know what we’re going to miss and it’s incredibly hard to see how the gap is filled but the club will prevail.
the s***show that is the rest of the football world might now start to appreciate the status of the man
