Original Press Gazette story The above programme has now officially been scrapped - ITV got cold feet after receiving a number of complaints. Good to see that not every broadcaster is too pig-headed to admit their mistakes.

I can't believe we're going to be owned by one of George Bush's Texan corporate chums. It may or may not make financial sense - no-one here really knows - but I do know that I hate it. It absolutely stinks.
