Even from the start of the season to now, I think teams are running through us less. Get the front lads firing and this could be something, especially as Mac looks better than whatever that was last year. It’s also the benefit of a new manager as if this were Slot with the same results and performances then I would be non plussed.

What is the actual Wirtz debate? Is it arguing over whether he has in fact played well? Is it saying that he could play well versus saying he will not go on to play well? Agreed. I’m not saying get one of them but these lads are supposed to be the continuity themselves and set the vision for the whole footballing side of the club. They keep being rubbish. They seem largely judged by what they do in transfers despite the remit being way wider and even within those narrow confines, our squad replenishing has not been up to it. I really dislike them and what they represent.

I don’t think Swagger’s post is representative of the complaints. I would take a Bootroom equivalent at that level of the club if we were going Shankly, Paisley, Fagan. I don’t think we are. It’s a self selecting group ponces.
