  1. Mac Allister's two years older
  2. Having Kelleher as our reserve keeper is an absolute luxury
  3. Chiesa looks like a cross between Vladimir Smicer and Willem Dafoe
  4. Diaz looks like he's sharper and faster than last season. Completely burned that full back for pace when he missed that first chance in a way I've not seen before
  5. I could get used to this version of Liverpool that efficiently puts away its chances
  6. Kluivert really shouldn't have been allowed to dribble that far without a solid challenge
  7. Yeah I was worried he was another flatter-to-deceive guy but he looks every bit as good as what I thought the best case scenario could be based on his mazy dribbling
  8. Yeah I really want to know what the thinking is behind this. We're wasting a world class midfielder
  9. They were good as well tbf. Especially that left back Moreno
  10. I had started to think we'd win about 30 consecutive games in cruise control, so this was a wake-up call. Hopefully just a one-off with players who bounced back badly from an international break.
  11. I think I'll probably only see a very, very limited number of wingers as good as him and peak Salah play for Liverpool between now and when I die
  12. If it's the in-tray that was the concern maybe they're impressed by the way he's put everything straight into the out-tray and gone for an early lunch.
  13. Salah has 15 goals in 16 matches against these c**** Meanwhile Alisson seems to be translating for Diaz in a post-match interview. Didn't know Alisson was that familiar with Spanish
  14. Yeah some f***en bad memories from last season
  15. I do miss the 90 minute adrenaline rush of the old football but it's been largely flawless so far
  16. When did Gravenberch become the greatest midfielder in the world? Another masterstroke by our masterminds. If we'd signed someone he'd be on the bench, and we'd be worse.
  17. Lol. Yeah they had it under control the whole time. Purposely waiting to get someone in until it's two league games deep and they've had no pre-season to settle in is the sort of big brain move lesser operators wouldn't have even thought of.
  18. Del Piero played in Australia for two years and I believe he actually lives in LA now. His English was limited when he arrived in the A-League but he spoke enough to express himself in interviews. From what I've seen lately he's really very fluent now. I wasn't expecting Cannavaro to speak it as well as he does though.
  19. Good lad. Dutifully ticked the dream come true box.
  20. Diaz learning to shoot with his left foot like that is a gamechanger. It was the main thing holding him back
  21. He said something in the middle of that that softened it, like "they were very tough opponents" but it was still wonderfully blunt and to the point. I remember Guus Hiddink saying things like that when he managed Australia. I'll believe that it's a Dutch thing.
  22. Not bad was he?
