I'm beginning to think that Klopp has an english quota for the midfield, especially when it comes to games against the more physical teams.

That's because we're utterly predictable. Lots of sideways passes followed by long floated up-field balls. Most of the so-called passes are between the centre-halfs (Van Dijk in particular seems to love dwelling on the ball), absolutely no tempo to the attack. One-paced football for the most part.

Exactly. It's been clear for a while that he should never be a starter, a sub maybe but never a starter. That's on Klopp, I'd rather he'd started with either of Firmino or Salah.

Thank you. I just don't understand this mentality that seems to be creeping up which states that we must put all our eggs in two baskets as it were. There are no guarantees anyway even with the FA cup, but to suggest that we can simply afford to exit at the first attempt is a sign that some of the fan base forget we exist to win trophies, and we haven't won anything for a long time now. IMO I think Klopp has to be careful, he's done a lot to improve the squad and the general mood around the club, but he's into his fourth season with no trophies still. He can't keep treating the cups as after-thoughts.

I think Klopp has to be ruthless at the end of this season whatever happens this season. Sturridge, Lallana etc are no longer part of the team's future but of it's past. There's a difference between been loyal and being sentimental.

It's so frustrating, everyone can see it. Klopp has to be more flexible in his midfield selections, all the reasons that have been put forward for his picking this midfield can't hid the fact that the combination of the three are spectacularly lacking in guile and creativity.

Sometimes I really question Klopp's technical insight, Hendo should have been off as soon as Trent scored!

Think its high time Solanke got a chance ahead of him if Firmino's not playing.

The reality of our situation is slowly starting to sink in to me. We are simply not good enough. The defence is a known weakness, no need going over it again. But the midfield is a big concern as well. Upfront Sturridge is but a shadow of the player he was, can anyone honestly say he would make the squad of any of the other top four contenders?

Midfield is a big concern as so many have pointed out, the defense is abject. Milner playing in midfield raises very big questions. If Klopp deemed him not good enough to play there last season, what has changed now? Almost seems like there's a hierarchy in terms of player selection, so senior players will be selected and played in positions instead of younger players that may be better suited to that position. Grujic has hardly had a look in, even when a solid case could be made for trying him out. Solanke is playing second fiddle to Sturridge even when it's clear Studge no longer has the physical attributes to be a striker for a prospective top four team. Lastly, Sturridge and Firmino just don't work together. They seem to want to play in the same spaces.Play one or the other, or try a combination with Solanke.

Midfield is average, apart from Lallana. Henderson, Wiji and Can are very similar players. All very energetic, but limited in technical ability. All three require two or more touches on the ball, turn ponderously and lack spatial awareness. On of them in midfield is okay, two at a stretch maybe, but all three at the same time is asking for trouble.

Think we have that record because most of our players function on adrenaline. Technically quite a few are not up to the standard we need. People like Hendo, Lovren, Clyne and Can are not good enough.

He's been moving like that for quite a while now. He'll always have a great scoring ability but contributes very little in terms of pressing or physical presence.

He's been very poor from the onset! he keeps over elaborating instead of keeping it simple.

This was a game that was in the bag, but as usual we find a way to give our opponents a freebie.The only constant in this team is an inability to play in a controlled error-free game for ninety minutes.

This is a team that has a self-destruct button ready to f***ing press at any stage of the game!!
