Wirtz and Isak don't do much of that, neither does Gakpo for that matter. Iraola will need to change a lot of mindsets, or get players that play the way he wants to.

Just don't see Isak and Wirtz working. They both lack physicality, don't do enough off the ball. Wirtz and Eki maybe, but not both. Hopefully they prove me wrong over the season. Our midfield is a serious problem, same from last season.

Pressing has never really been his game. But who's supposed to be his backup? Eki won't play till next year. So many gaps in the squad for still to be filled.

We need two. Grav and Dom should be competing for the same spot alongside the first one, while the second one should be on the bench incase the first one gets injured. There's no balnce or steel in our midfield. It's astonishing we haven't got at least one DM in yet.

First game I've watched in ages. Nothing has changed, passive, pedestrian, predictable play. I just don't understand what the game plan is. Chelsea as poor a side as they are, seem pumped up and determined. We are listless as if it's a game of bowls. Only Rio and Szobo have broken sweat, everyone seems to want to play at walking pace.

Exactly. The club should have moved him on ages ago. He is NOT going to turn this around. The team is so flaccid and passive, even the fans are drained and have been for months now. I didn't even know the game had started(under Klopp I was always sat in front of the TV at least 30 minutes before the start), saw the half-time score on my phone, and wasn't really surprised. Watching the second half has been like watching a game of bowls, there's no fire or fight in the team. Going from Klopp to this, it's heartbreaking.
