    I think Slot likes his core team and will play them. Regardless of who else is available. Some positions will see more rotation (Gakpo/Diaz, Robbo/Tsimikas, Jones/Szoboszlai). There is an argument to say that a settled first 11 will read each other's game better. Less running than last year should certainly help too. Feyenoord minutes per player.

    I quite like the new format. There's only a few dead rubbers. Maybe not as much immediate peril, but around half the teams have a half the teams have a chance to either drop out of the top 8 or get into it. A further 6 teams need a result to guarantee play offs. There's very few dead rubbers.

    Gravenberch doesn't take up a non homegrown slot so he makes sense as an extra body in midfield. As long as we get another.

    I'd take Doucore, Amrabat and Gravenberch. But then can't get a non-homegrown cb.

    The advantage of Gravenberch is, that due to his age, he won't fill up a non-homegrown slot. So if he's one of at least 3 coming in then I'm all for it.

    It means we can't get 2 non homegrown midfielders and a defender. Not that we're going to buy 3 more players anyway.

    We've got a home grown issue now that we're not getting Lavia. Can only get 2 more in. I think we can get more under 21's in but that potentially creates a problem in future.

    I'm leaning towards us getting him now. This bid from Chelsea is taking too long.

    It's all really bizarre. I wouldn't be completely shocked if we end up with both. Although I expect we might end up with Lavia.
