to clarify i do not feel he was paid off, but some of his decisions were appalling and i am very much annoyed with his performance.

Affellay is a good shout. i doubt hes happy at barcelona with the few minutes hes getting.

Not sure if youre being serious there. I, on the other hand, was 100% serious. Hes good enough on the ball, and athletic enough, to stick out that position for a month at least. Hes a better option than Spearing in any case.

It was a panic buy, and we was the in form striker in the league with the addition that he seemed physically able. Simple as that IMO.

Newcastle were using him as a vague target man though, and he was the focus of all attacks here. He isnt that here, and rightly so.

Maybe not in terms of past attempts, but in that scenario its probably wise to have one of the most technically proficient players take it? That person is not Carroll.

i didnt phrase it well sorry. in short, i dont feel that carroll lacking match sharpness is a valid excuse after a solid pre season and three months into the season. in my opinion.

how far into the season do you feel we need to be for it to be unacceptable for a professional football, who has had intensive pre season training and three months of matches and other training, to to be deemed unfit to be assessed properly?

if he were 18 and making his first few senior appearances id agree, but unfortunately thats not the situation.

The only two clubs I could see torres moving to from chelsea are Inter and Barcelona, possibly Bayern as a swerve ball.

may be speaking for myself here but i dont take much solace in the fact that the only descriptors that can be applied to carroll tonight are those usually reserved for "negative" players.

Very good game that, we played pretty well. Kudos to Henderson, Bellamy, Lucas, Kelly, Coates and Maxi. Long list but i feel they all played really well. Shame about Carroll.
