  1. There are moments that changed the trajectory of the season and what could have happened and I think they mounted up on Slot and he didn’t have the personality of Klopp to rally the troops. He was used to mostly always winning so the spiral was foreign to him. I think he just got lost in it all. Having to continue with Konate when he was brutal because Leoni got injured was one issue. Yes he could have played Gomez for 30 mins until he got injured but then we’d be back to Konate with his confidence more shattered. The injuries at RB were a s***ter too. I didn’t like Dom there but it made sense to me although Jones could have done it more but with his casual mindset and us leaking goals I think slot wasn’t keen. Isak is everyone’s fault. He hadn’t played in 4.5 months but I can’t believe a pro wouldn’t hire a personal fitness coach to keep him close to the levels needed. I can’t imagine someone like Suarez needing a season to regain basic fitness levels. The whole thing is weird. The culling of the youngsters that would the league cup under slot was alarming. I guess he took the “ first team coach” tag totally literally and decided if they are not ready for 60 games a season I’ve no interest.
  2. Elliot should be back in the fold to make up the numbers. I know he doesn’t want to be a squad player but his circumstances have changed. I’d keep Jones too.
  3. He’s also the captain and has a tricky balancing act to do between representing what the club say to him and what the players say to him when talking to the public. It’s really tricky.
  4. The forward line is a major concern. We were shot by 2 forwards this season in my world and have just lost Ekitike and Mo now as well. We need minimal 2 but I’d personally want 4. Yeah that was weird. Look at the difference in the two leagues. That should have been the giveaway as to why they pick up less injuries.
  5. Mo and Robbo gone. Major concerns over the return of Ekitike ( when and how good) Id say we have major concerns over the fitness of Bradley long term as RB and Frimpong too ( hope he’s not going to be Mo’s replacement) Isak concerns me too. Hopefully he comes back good but the whole situation is weird. No idea what a happening with Macca but a long run in the World Cup feels the opposite to what he needs ( he’ll probably be brilliant now for Argentina to add to the confusion) Chiesa?? Alis injury record is a concern and Vvd at some stage is not going to do 60 games a season without injury. And then there is Gomez. Right now we are going into next season with Gakpo up top as the only trusted experienced forward who isn’t plagued with injury concerns. We used to have 7 forwards. Oh and Konate needs replacing. And we need at least two wide forwards one for either side. When slot said we’d make a couple of signings this summer I couldn’t believe it. I hope the club think differently. This summer needs double what we did last season and they need to be the right players too. I think we are at a crucial moment where we can leap forward quickly or have 10 years like the Mancs very quickly.
  6. Yes. At least 6-9 players and they have to be robust not brilliant players with dodgy injury records that we’ll fix.
  7. Funny hearing them say it’s a terrible way to lose. But it’s literally arsenals game plan. All that money spent and they play like how I’d expect Wolves to play if they somehow got the chance. 11 behind the ball and let’s see if we can get a corner or peno.
  8. Hopefully this stops them singing our “ we conquered all of Europe” song for a bit.
  9. Poor Ramos. Standing around for 5 mins. But scores.
  10. 750 passes to 180. Not even 2 passes a minute from Arsenal.
  11. Have you seen them given? Seems all the expects have and have decided to tell us over and over and over.
  12. We’d have had to shake hands on 90 with our bench. I keep going back to it but Arsenal have a big squad of 7/10 players. Gets them over the line most games.
  13. Their keeper looks a bit prog rock bass player or furniture maker than shot stopper to me. Defo smokes rollies too.
  14. It’s as epic as 2005 huh.
  15. PSG need to win this. Don’t trust their goalie on pens.
  16. That was arsenals game plan peno.

  19. Exactly! I’ve been banging the drum that we’d need 9 signing this summer and if Bournemouth is the blue print then it might actually be more. We’ve had abysmal benches this season for league winners. Either way it’s exciting.
  20. I’m glad he’s gone but that’s reductive. He won the league and for a season I don’t remember anyone having a bad word to say about him having taken over the hardest job on the planet. Last season was brutal from start to finish and with zero signs of improvement there was no other choice.
  21. All good players but for what system and why go into a season knowingly short as champions of England with aspirations of winning the champs league when you’d be even shorter up front than before with Afcon? They also could have addressed it in Jan and didn’t. No wide players when Slot explicitly said he uses them and no CB cover. Short at both ends of the pitch where it matters.
  22. So 1/3 of the problem has been removed. We can’t let these two spend another 500 m to weaken the team and then swap managers again.
  23. The world is completely f***ed so just give me escapist vibes. Trash metal football with madmen running every where.
