  2. absolutely can't believe it took 11 pages although i am warming to cisse's mate, i must admit.
  3. that's the whole thing, right there. SON
  4. but never won the Football Writers Player of the Year - how that must stick in the bitch's throat he kisses his badge, sometimes scores with deflections and is a cockney what more evidence do you need, sammy?
  5. what if his fellow professionals vote him the 2nd best player in the country the English football journalists vote him the best player in the country Europe's journos vote him the 2nd best player in Europe International coaches/managers and captains vote him the 2nd best player in the World ?
  6. when they're in agreement with players, managers, coaches and journalists? do i win £5?
  7. not that you could believe a word that comes out of that fecker's gob
  8. so true. I just dont find it that hard to differentiate between club and international matches - seems like Neville or Carragher don't either. They can 'hate' one another for being a Manc or a scouser one saturday and be teammates the next.
  9. they are completely comparable Liverpool lost to Burnley and won the European Cup 5 months later Germany lost to England 1-5 at home and were in the World Cup Final 9 months later England lost to N. Ireland...........yet topped their group and are going to the WC as one of the top 3 or 4 most fancied sides to win it The point is teams can suffer shocking defeats and bounce back within a short period of time to make a nonsense of that previous result. As for our 3 defeats in competition since 2002 France - Last knockings free kick and a peno, when we missed one ourselves to go 2-0 - v. fine line Portugal - host nation, last minute goal disallowed, lost on penalties - v fine line N. Ireland - poor performance on the day, deserved to lose, it happens - already explained above. None of which point to a likely England success this summer but at the same time don't equate to the foregone conclusion of failure either.
  10. 1. makes it even more pertinent a point in regards to the time lag between England's defeat v N. Ireland and England in the World Cup KYFS. I know what you were comparing it with - i was providing a counterpoint. 2. How many World Class teams have we played in competitive matches in those 4 years (watch me discredit them when you name them ) ?
  11. what time was kick off v Utd the week before?
  12. 1 - it was the FA Cup, not the Carling - KYFS. As for relative status - where would you rank Burnley in European Football; top 100 clubs? 2 - pretty sure you've answered your own question there
  13. is it me or does that post come across as a bit gay?
  14. or the Champions of Europe getting beaten by Burnley............. England are capabale of beating any side in the World in a one off match. What they have consistently failed to show is that they can beat a top class side one day and then go and beat another a few days later and that's the reason i can't see them winning the WC. There's no team they should fear though - including Brazil.
  15. 1) Proves feck all 2) I'm from Berkshire 3) It's Monday morning, i'm at work, of course i'm not feckin happy
