The most interesting point here for me is that they met at the Berkshire Hathaway AGM. And Dr Dre was with them too apparently. A BH agm is not where you’d expect to find most sportsman – and I wonder how Lebron found the time as its in the middle of the season for him. That aside I did speak to someone who sat next to Dre on a flight recently and they got into a discussion about investments. Dre came over as someone who is very knowledgable about investments and spends a lot of time researching this area. If Lebron and his marketing guy are listening t him – then they clearly see LFC as a part of very valuable investment in the long term. I can’t see the FSG people getting Lebron involved if he wasn;t serious about this. They know very well that idiotic remarks can cause damage so they clearly have faith in Lebron. Personally I can’t stand the NBA. I think that a disproportionately large number of its fans are morons and thugs and a lot of the players have a “me first” attitude that is reflected in the fanbase. Lebron as a business venue though… that could be worth exploring. Pre season in Miami anyone?
