Been slightly disappointing, we've not really created anything clear cut apart from Kuyt's effort, the rest have been shots from distance. Torres hasn't even got into the game, he needs to run off the ball more to create space for himself because Reading are nullifying his threat. Arbeloa has made a lot of schoolboy errors and Reading look extremely dangerous on the counter attack. This should be a comfortable 45 mins coming up because I fully expect us to go and finish the game but I got a feeling it is going to end up with pure frustration.

Got to give Reading a lot of credit, they are defending really well, we've not created one single decent chance apart from the goal. They are playing the counter attacking game effectively as well, our defence is looking shaky at times. ooo rasping shot from Babel, decent save their goalie! From corner, Babel just offside.

What did you think about Benayoun and Pennant? I felt they had a chance today to stake a claim in the first eleven, to prove to us the fans that they were capable of being in a championship winning side. Felt both were mediocre and didn't really impress. Babel has now overtaken these players in the pecking order and one of them at least will be moving on in the summer.

Full credit to Barnsley but it does make you wonder why they are only 19th in the Championship and flirting with relegation.

Hasn't he already been warned about his future conduct this season by the FA, didn't he get a touchline ban only just a few months ago? If that is the case then I hope the FA come down on him like a ton of bricks for this outburst. Pennant and Benayoun have been mediocre, was hoping for something from them today to show us the fans that they can be part of a title winning squad. Neither have them have showed anything and no Pennant's goal does not count

That 2nd goal was world class, a world class pass with a world class finish from two world class players. Fantastic goal, just got to finish the job now. We've threatened very little but it just goes to show how having these types of players in your team can make a huge difference.
