Sky are really out-doing themselves with the Suarez bashing from all and sundry. Also, gleefully announcing that he faces a lengthy, worldwide, ban, if found guilty. They must be loving this since they cant show the actual matches.
Brendan doesnt sound too impressed. "It's the owners' money and they will always have the final say because it's they who run the club. What they have taken on here is a huge job. You have seen over the last few years they will finance a project we are trying to develop and what we have to make sure of is we get the right players and the value and worth of the player is right. It's disappointing because this was a player who would have been perfect for us."
Yes. I dont believe in the slightest that Brendan Rodgers told him that he would personally "make sure" that Suarez could leave. If the "clause" was as watertight as Suarez supposedly believes, why the need for the Manager to then convince him as well?
That's the bit that stood out isnt it. Chancing their arm yet again...shower of wasters. Someone posted above that JWH may put his foot down and just refuse to deal with Arsenal now. Really would love for this to happen. :)/>
I think he meant that we're spending our resources (i.e. time) pursuing targets that we aint gonna get, not actually spending monetary resources on them. Bit early to be panicking, I would have thought. :)/>
