Yes. I dont believe in the slightest that Brendan Rodgers told him that he would personally "make sure" that Suarez could leave. If the "clause" was as watertight as Suarez supposedly believes, why the need for the Manager to then convince him as well?

I think he meant that we're spending our resources (i.e. time) pursuing targets that we aint gonna get, not actually spending monetary resources on them. Bit early to be panicking, I would have thought. :)/>
