  1. no, wun only. sorry...
  2. Woy not? Surely the majority of posters can Woy's above it?
  3. that's better...
  4. I really wish I hadn't read that piece by that patronising c**k McNulty on the BBC website, it makes me want to go and break something.
  5. Pack your bags Mr Sephton...
  6. I'd rather a player was here because of the manager than because of the money.
  7. Me too. I don't want a safe pair of hands. I want someone who can make us dream, but I reckon the best Woy will give us will be a blanket and a cup of horlicks. And I don't like horlicks. By the way, I keep reading what a good job he did at Inter, so why did he leave?
  8. He is at the top of his profession, he's managing a team in the top division of the country. Doesn't make him the best manager in the world though, and it doesn't make him the best candidate for the Liverpool job either.
  9. Just as long as Arsenal don't do what they did in last season's opening match on Merseyside...
  10. even though it'll cost you a grand?
  11. Are we signing Henry?
  12. leaving aside the whole financial angle and whether we would get to spend any or all of any transfer fee, if Stevie does go, who would we get to replace him? At the start of last season we were still an appealing destination for players, world famous club + champions league + one of the best managers in the world. This year it's world famous club + europa league +... well, it looks like a safe pair of hands/ship steadier. We've struggled in the past to attract players on account of not being in London, larger wages are on offer elsewhere in the north west, we are rapidly running out of selling points here. The attraction of playing alongside world stars is being diminished if Stevie goes, Masch seemingly going, Torres... I know people like to play up how attractive playing for Liverpool is, but even if we can afford the transfer fees, I reckon we could really struggle to attract them if they have offers from elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure it happened the season before too, think it was Fulham at home when Xabi was on the bench until well into the second half, then came on for Mascherano. Lucas was copping it loads that day.
  14. Careful now, or people will start the whole Aquilani fit/unfit/match fit/hissy fit routine again.
  15. Maybe less of an issue with a £70million sale of Torres, but if for example they had tried to sell Mascherano it would certainly have been a deterrant knowing that £16million of the £25-30million proceeds could be lost to Rafa in a constructive dismissal case.
  16. You have helped me before with an incident at US Customs which i doubt you recall but many thanks for that anyway, Yours sincerely, John Murphy
  17. and it will be Christian Purslow.
  18. Not if he pops into Boss Tans on the way back from the ground it won't.
  19. Well we might be spared Alan Hansen's annual "it's the worst Liverpool team since the dawn of time" article.
  20. But would things really ever turn sour? Surely most people would appreciate the conditions he would be working under?
  21. We have, on getting rid of our manager and now presumably paying compo to Fulham.
  22. So the new manager can expect the same contractual terms regarding the sale or otherwise of players?
  23. Ich nichten lichten...
  24. Is He crying because He's hurt his feet on all that broken glass He's walking on?
