Wow. Did he understand the instructions? sorry. It's strange though that he's been labelled by Klopp as an intelligent keeper. Seeing him play makes you wonder what he excels at. I don't think he's thick, far from it even if hes goalkeeping actions seem to imply it. Just wondering what the instructions were and if he got it. if it was given on a note I would be expecting origami in return

Thought he was as good before Sturridge came on, but he did look for him and that was nice. What pisses me off about Benteke is he reminds me of the times when there is trouble, and the largest bloke who could solve it all just by imposing himself fails to and thereby making it a hell of a lot worse for everyone else including himself. I think it's valid in a football. edit: first drink in six weeks. Bare with me. Point seems valid in my opinion however s*** worded. yes.

Thought he was better than he's been for a while. Not saying much, granted. Stil, being the body language expert that I am I see progress. He seems less afraid of his own shadow and his eyes seem to be involved with whats going in his immediate surroundings. He seems to know what he's missed. He did not stand still and point as much today as he's been doing the last games. So I'm vey hopeful. There used to be a footballer there. And he did a couple of good things today, the sole faint/drag for Coutinho's shot that hit he post was nice.. Not enough but still. ps. I thought it was an insane buy to begin with, but we've got Jürgen Klopp

so confused he forgets to track back. Thats my biggest gripe with him. He can come good, hes got speed and a good shot but theres the twist and turns, the stop of the flow of the game, the blind alleys and the failure to understand his obligations (for lack of a better word) to track back when he's failed to play his fullback when he's overlapping. Ibe dies a little when he f***s up and it doesn't make it better

When fit he's by far our best player. Love having him back

We should get Balotelli to China. He'll love it. They'll love him. He's a good guy and it'll all be like a fairytale. He'll be brilliant in China. Devastating the league. Buy him.

Klopp was laying into him for not releasing the ball sooner in the first half. Everyone was playing one touch when possible and he was his usual self bringing it sideways/backwards into dangerous areas as the fullback had went past him expecting a pass. And then he was tackled and lost it. Maybe harsh but I feel the first goal could have been avoided if he was 'on'.

He was very good. And he kept Carroll under control on a couple of occasions, kept him out of the equation by simply blocking him. Clever defending from him on the crosses I thought Good with the ball and calm. We've missed that. One of the better players tonight for me.

We should have won this. I'm very impressed with some of the performances of the kids. Coutinho and Sturridge look sharp and it's good to see Origi and Benteke again too. It was never a freekick. I'm off to revel in the pleasure of the Mignonettes.

Yep. But every once in a while we give them a reason to. We've been defending very good and tackling them hard. Illori and Lucas have been grat, fullbacks too

Haven't seen Benteke this good for a while. Think he's doing well and hopeful he'll win us the game.

Not sure it will but If teammates know what a player will do in a given situation and make the right runs to receive the pass or create space he looks less s***. I think some of the times he loses the ball it's been quite clever passes that would have looked a lot better if someone was expecting them. It's happened quite a few times for him and it drags the impression of him down is all I'm trying to say and I seem to notice it more often with him. It may be because I'm cutting him slack because I think he can become very good for us. That said I'm not blown away by him either, but he showed what he is capable of against City so I remain hopeful.

They all were. The only two moments of the game I vaguely remember were passes from Firmino. One was to Smith and he was imo one of our best. He's a good player, once the rest of the team gets to 'know him' he'll be fine.

I didn't think he was very good today, but there is that. Good to be in 'the f*** do I know' position again. Probably was never out of it. Firmly in it now. Wich is cool, ja? Still I was surprised he stayed on, as he gets forced to play it backwards to often to get out of pressure caused by himself by bringing the ball into tight areas instead of switching play or turning forwards, wich I loved seeing Ibe doing sucsessfully a few times tonight btw. I thought he was bringing danger closer to home by using to much time on the ball when we were high up in the opposing half, either by looking for an easy way out by playing it backwards or by playing it into areas where the best thing we could hope for was a throw. Too much risk and too little possible gain for me at the moment. Maybe it's a pace thing, technically he is ace. And pressing wise even better. Just needs to shift the ball earlier and with lower risk.

This "We Believe" thing has gotten out of hand when it comes to Sturridge. Not aimed at anyone in particular btw. Sturridge is potentially our best player, love that we have him back.
