"were listening to The Smiths on the way home to cheer us all up....At the end of the day, Chelsea could do four doubles and it wouldnt hurt as much as Liverpool winning the FA Cup. They're not rivals, in the words of Morrissey, Chelsea "you just havn't earned it yet baby"

Too right, I got a great delight in watching them get thumped 3-0 yesterday.. Rooney getting injured was a bonus too..

That's my feelings on it..

Thought I was in the minority that wanted them battered yesterday, the more goals that went in against them the lower the goal average. As soon as rooney was injured I immediately thought how that would be good for us that they now have two games to play without him. Maybe closer to the world cup I might miss motson and co getting all hot and excited over him, but I doubt it.

The feeling is mutual Pete.

Couldn't believe there were reds out there cheering on the mancs yesterday.

cant believe there would be REds cheering the Mancs :o

Chelsea winning the league, has a real hollow feel to it, so doesn't really bother me as much as that! I was delighted they stuffed ManU yesterday :D

I think it'll be a shame if Rooney misses the World Cup. I'm no England fan but I agree with what someone else posted yesterday that you want to see all the best players playing. More than happy for him to miss the Mancs' last two games though.

there's a t** in our work - always has a Liverpool or England top on.. a few weeks ago, when the Mancs were playing Spurs, he cheered the Manc goals - he said he wants the Mancs to win the league cos he doesn't like Chelsea ("they've ruined the league now with their money").. i was sat just to the side of him when he cheered (what i think was) their 2nd goal - i said "what the f*** are you cheering for?" :hmm: "wouldn't you rather them lose and let us try get in 2nd?"

"we're not gonna do that now, can't stand Chelsea now, if these win today it keeps it interesting and hopefully they can win the league"

"mate, you're a disgrace, thats fkin terrible"

he just smiled and carried on watching the match.. the lad across from us was looking at me nodding in approval..

then today he comes in, England top on, and i overhear him talking to a lad saying "im sure he'll be back for the World Cup.. *arm aloft quietly cheering* ROONEY! ROONEY!"..

WHAT THE f***? YOU STOOPID PIECE OF s***! WE DO NOT NEED FANS LIKE THIS g*******..

I want the Mancs to lose every game they play. The 1985 Cup Final was purgatory but I still wanted them to lose even if it gave the Bitters the Double.

It's just a pity Rooney couldn't have got injured about a month ago because they would have dropped points. It would also have meant he might get fit for Ingerlund.

to each his own, but I'd have 'supported' them over the Blues**** at that point

having said that, I wanted Everton to beat the Mancs in 1995

He sounds like the supreme t*** off all t***'s. I've been surprised how many of those manc cheering t***'s are around and 3-0 for Chelsea was not enough for me.

Well the Bitterness hadn't kicked in then and I was of the old school that sort of said if we can't win it I'd rather it was Everton. The problem was that it would have given Everton the Double before we'd won it.

I wanted them to beat Everton last year, but look what happened then. They lost pathetically to a tampon goal and Neville assaulted a small child.

I definitely hate the Mancs more than chelsea, however, the main reason i was cheering on chelsea was because that would give us more of a chance of getting second place. Had Manu and chelsea switched point totals, I would be cheering on the Mancs. I don't think it makes me any less of a liverpool fan/ supporter - it's just pragmatic.

yeah thats what i meant - even when they play the s**** i still want them (the Mancs) to lose.. the s**** are a nothing club..

..and that lad in our place, who cheered them on, he was just a beaut.. i don't class pricks like him as fans.. he probably discovered football when the words 'Premier' and 'League' were introduced to the game..
