Sara Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Well, 75000 euros of it according to one of the Irish papers.
Miracle@Istanbul Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 We pay agents £2million a year and the rest of the payroll is nearly £100 million.
Falconhoof Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Good job we're paying or The Franchise would have to get another grant off the national lottery. Maybe Glazer will go on incapacity benefit to help him through his ilness.
Sara Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 (edited) About the same as we pay Cisse every week. So, smash up OT for £50k a week, or pay Cisse? Tough one! LOL Edited April 25, 2006 by Tokey1
RP Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 So, smash up OT for £50k a week, or pay Cisse? Tough one! It sure is. Bye bye Djibs.
Ed the Wool Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 How bad was the damage, just out of interest?
Sara Posted April 25, 2006 Author Posted April 25, 2006 How bad was the damage, just out of interest? Broken chair backs, graffiti, sinks and urinals ripped out, signs ripped off etc etc The place is still usable
Miracle@Istanbul Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Its like any insurance job, vastly inflated, the have construction crews on site already.
AE Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I though we would be paid for our design abilities. Cost of new plastic chair - £5000Cost of new sinks - £8000Improvments to OT - priceless
Kop_on Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I thought the vandalism was disgusting tbh. Munich slogans, stuff about shipman. Ive heard so many people saying how great it was to smash up OT that it really makes you wonder about 'the best fans in the world'.

Ive heard so many people saying how great it was to smash up OT that it really makes you wonder about 'the best fans in the world'. There's been more than enough evidence to sink that line in the past couple of months even before the semi.
Guest Kev Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Jeez, 30,000 Liverpool fans, I refuse to put Scousers. Old Trafford got off lightly, let's get things into perspective. They didn't exactly treat the Anfield Road as if it was their own either.

Ive heard so many people saying how great it was to smash up OT that it really makes you wonder about 'the best fans in the world'. can we nail this once and for all because this best fans in the world s*** is annoying me We ARE the bext supporters in the world when it comes to backing the team...no doubt That has f*** all to do with trouble, munich songs, manc baiting, vandalism, ripping off services, etc etc etc etc They go hand in hand....some of the same supporters who make our in ground support what it is, also take part in the shenanigans of the type that went on on SAturday We (and all othe clubs) have an element who will look for trouble, esp where United are concerened,,,When you have a lrge amount of fans, there will be a larger elememnt who will want to make there mark, literally, on Old Trafford Anyone who travels watching Liverpool will tell you umpteen stories of kick offs, robbing, high jinx....its part and parcel of what happens when scallies leave there comfort zone....and it has always gone on Edited April 25, 2006 by anny road
sutty Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 I care more about my ravishing good looks than the mancs feelings so I'd keep my opinions to myself.
Guest Scot Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 would you tell them face to face your opinions about what happened ? Christ...
NWR Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 ....If it were 30,000 United fans at Anfield the same would happen.......... I agree. That is why I was up in arms when I found out your semi final was being played at OT. It just should not be allowed. Your lot should never be let anywhere near OT when United are not there, and our lot should never be let anywhere near your ground. Fecking idiots the FA are
Guest Kev Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Christ... I'm just fed up of people giving it large on here but when faced with the opportunity to say something to the people would keep quiet. As Anny said earlier, we are the best fans in the world, but we also have our 'hooligans', the same as every club in the country from Chelsea to the depths of the non-league.

As Anny said earlier, we are the best fans in the world, but we also have our 'hooligans', the same as every club in the country from Chelsea to the depths of the non-league. What you're saying is a little short of 'come and 'ave a go if you think you're 'ard enough'. It's rubbish. Most people aren't likely to wade into a seething mass of hoolies that's chanting Shipman songs and tearing out seats and ask them to please give over. Not surprising really is it? Interesting that you're getting impatient with those who won't face down hooligans, rather than criticising the hoolies themselves. But then as you've said you enjoy the aggro.
filopastry Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 So what exactly did this achieve beyond a bit of damage that will be quickly repaired at our own expense?

Past tense, but I will not deny that it can get compulsive viewing. And for the record I have stopped the Shipman song from being sung in the Stanley. Maybe I didn't type clear enough.
Earl Hafler Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 So, Kev. Are you justifying what happened at OT because it doesn't matter ? People think Liverpool fans are like that anyway ?
diaspora Posted April 25, 2006 Posted April 25, 2006 Adding to the danger of going completely off topic, there is a view of Merseyside that it not borne out by statistics. Crime in Merseyside is much lower than in Manchester and in some cases is lower than national average, yet even on Merseyside there is a high perceived threat of crime. The press, media what have you are so guilty at portraying ius in a certain light that we often believe it ourselveslink to a home office doc giving some data
