Guest L4 Lad Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 heard from a red in our office in mancland that he's heard a whisper going round that a load of reds fans have hired an open top bus to go around manchester in parading five full sized replica european cups. i hope to god this is true and someone can get footage and photos of it. any truth in it?
Lee W Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Isn't there supposed to be a banner aswell ? Something about the sh*t hitting the fan....
Guest L4 Lad Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 i heard that too. our milkman is goin and he said they're putting the number 58 on the bus. dont think the police will let the mancie w-ankies get upset
Lee W Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 bus = funny banner = d****eads Think both are pretty tacky to be honest.
Falconhoof Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Think both are pretty tacky to be honest. I was giving the bus the benefit of the doubt, yeah its tacky but its not as destructive as celebrating some scumbag throwing his own s*** at another football fan.
Lee W Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Best thing we can do to p*ss the Mancs off is reach the final on their ground.
Leo No.8 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 (edited) If they put number 58 on it, I hope the f*cking thing breaks down. That would be classless and in bad taste, and it sounds like the banner would be pretty unfunny as well. The bus with the trophies might be quite amusing, but the rest makes them sound like a shower of nobheads... Edited April 21, 2006 by Leo No.8
owenthomas Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Best thing we can do to p*ss the Mancs off is reach the final on their ground.agreed.. and the number of the bus thing is fkin ridiculous..

Rushian Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 1) There is no open top bus2) There is no bus with number 58 on the front
Leo No.8 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 1) There is no open top bus2) There is no bus with number 58 on the front Good!
sutty Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 From Davo on redcafe in response to the mancs taking the piss out of the sticker campaign that's rumoured on Saturday... "I hope we put stickers on the seats, rip them up, and then put stickers where the seats used to be..."
kop205 Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 i heard that too. our milkman is goin and he said they're putting the number 58 on the bus. dont think the police will let the mancie w-ankies get upset Do you not think the 'mancie w-ankies' would have every right to get upset if this happened? Wouldn't we have every right to get uspset if they turned up at Anfield with bus marked with '89' or '96' or something like that? The whole story (banner, bus, the works) is small time beyond belief. It would be bad enough if we we're even playing United but this game has f*** all to do with them and anyone who would waste their inventing/being amused by s*** like this is a f***ing d****ead to an extent that almost beggars belief.
Guest L4 Lad Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 1) There is no open top bus2) There is no bus with number 58 on the front 1) shame as it would've been funny but sensible decision2) there are buses with number 58 on the front all over the world but not in manchester on saturday thanks for clearing that up rushian. i know you and i haven't always seen eye to eye on most subject but you're one of the ones i owe all the credit to for the juventus game goin so well. so to reiterate no open top bus and no number 58 buses. rumour quashed.
Tetti Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Twould be nice if the thread itself disappeared or it will get quoted elsewhere....

sutty Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Twould be nice if the thread itself disappeared or it will get quoted elsewhere.... There's already loads of manc spectulation on what will get done to the ground etc. This isn't going to change that
jlfb Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 agreed.. and the number of the bus thing is fkin ridiculous.. I agree .. tasteless and unnecessary.
Guest L4 Lad Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 well said. if the bus idea were to go ahead i think the fans wouldn't be so insensitive. i think they'd have either 5, 05 or 18 on it but nothing insensitive. anyway it's not going ahead so no worries. btw what's the spec from the mancs about the ground? it can't be worse than them setting their own ground on fire. never have i enjoyed working in my office so much until that moment. seriously though our fans always behave with dignity and pride and truly represent LFC.
AE Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 seriously though our fans always behave with dignity and pride and truly represent LFC. b******s, setas will be broken, written etc at the very least. Not a full scale riot, but there will be a fair bit of 'low level' damage done at least (as there would at Anfield if the roles where reversed)
Elisha_Scott Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 seriously though our fans always behave with dignity and pride and truly represent LFC. Sorry, but that is not true

Not a full scale riot, but there will be a fair bit of 'low level' damage done at least (as there would at Anfield if the roles where reversed) Well I hope this doesn't happen. Vandalism or thuggery at any level does nothing but damage to the clubs name and reputation.
AE Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 Well I hope this doesn't happen. Vandalism or thuggery at any level does nothing but damage to the clubs name and reputation. So would I, but we live in the real world, not fantasy land where all our fans are saints.
Guest speker Posted April 21, 2006 Posted April 21, 2006 So would I, but we live in the real world, not fantasy land where all our fans are saints. True but people that feel the need to rip up seats or cause mayhem are not really fans are they. The true fans are there to support the team on the pitch so lets hope commonsense prevails.
