Maybe because it would be worth a go! We have an abundance of good to excellent midfielders and our attacking options are .. oh so poor with Torres out! Lucas, Mascha and Gerrard if necessary can defend. I think Chelsea would struggle to break down our midfield but I must admit 2 wide players with speed and guile ie Joe Cole and Malouda or Wright Phillips could damage us if we weren't disciplined and aware of our responsibilities. I suppose .. the idea of the same old .. same old .. doesn't inspire me at the moment.

Yes I know .. could be risky but we may as well go for it. We could always revert to a back four if Risse is on the bench and Carra moving to right back. Maybe we should put Nemeth on the bench.... hmmmm! We need someone with an eye for goal and in form .. and who has some guile and a bit of pace. Somehow we have got to give the youngsters a chance to play and step up. Ok some will say " ... but not against Chelsea" .. but we struggle against the lesser sides quite often too.

Belletti have a good game. Gives us width with some pace .. and some guile. My worry is Joe Cole .. he usually plays well against us. Ah well .. what do I know!

Watched a lot initially but it's amateurish to be honest about it! Would like to see post match analysis. I do sky+ the reserves and watch them at my leisure which is enjoyable and informative about the lads coming through. I'd like to see U18s and other youth stuff .. even if only well edited highlights. So much more could be done with this facility ..

1. reina 2. finnan made an effort but his crossing was quite poor for him on occasions 3. kuyt- could be a coincidence but things showed signs of happening when he came on Momo was so so so poor .. why didn't Rafa sub him .. at least at half time .. unfair on the player IMO

I agree .....Pennant did well! I really can't comprehend the lack of appreciation. He's getting better over the games he plays. Hopefully, when he scores his confidence will soar and won't we .. as a team .. benefit! Gonzalez, was good but no better than Pennant. Give the guy a chance' eh?
