Mike Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 One thing about cisse, for all his negatives, he always tries to be involved and rarely goes hiding, even when things are going wrong. the exact opposite is true 99% of the time.
ZZZZ Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 the exact opposite is true 99% of the time. I disagree. People give out about him, because he plays the wrong ball, he gets in the way, he misses chances etc. But you rarely have a game where he is just invisible and not involved in some shape or form
Kahnee Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 panda? There's a MOM thread? No, not yet. Don't one of the MODS have to start one?
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 only one of the sticky ones. You could, if you could be bothered to sort the votes at the end

fyds Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 id agree with most of your ratings but alonso was definatly and 8 as well, but id only give Crouch a 5, didnt do anything of any notice all game oh yeah, and Cisse played really well, its funny how when he plays really well ,we dont have any threads about him, but if the poor f***** misplaces more than 5 passes, thats it, the lynch mob to be out Agreed on all fronts.
Magic8Ball Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Cisse had a good game yesterday not because of his attitude but because of how he was used it was almost counter attacking play from liverpool Long balls over the top ala Owen and Heskey and bang Cisse scores 1 sets up 1 and nearly scores another
windy city red Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Cisse had a good game yesterday not because of his attitude but because of how he was used it was almost counter attacking play from liverpool Long balls over the top ala Owen and Heskey and bang Cisse scores 1 sets up 1 and nearly scores another dont understand what that means...hasnt he been used on the right frequently this season? and i think those goals just happened to be scored off counter attacking moves. we were by no means contended to just sit back behind and hit them on the break everytime (might have been for the second half). i thought he showed great awareness for the 1st goal and a good touch for the 2nd, qualities that were absent or somewhat absent in his previous performances.
Rimbeux Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 It looked like we'd scouted west brom pretty well, as that was a specific tactic, pushing Cisse right up on the left sided man. Incidentally, Arsenal did exactly the same to Villa

Whitey Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Reina 6Finnan 8 (He's quality, and just gets better and better)Carra/Sami/Riise 6Xabi 8Momo 7Kewell 5 (gone off the boil again...seems to get lost sometimes)Cisse 7 (best game since injury, just wish every other time he didn't wander around like he doesn't care)Fowler 7 (still great movement - but did still look knackered)Crouch 5 (poor for me) Garcia 5 Overall I thought we were distinctly average against one of the poorer sides. Even the commentators over here kept mentioning how West Brom kept giving us the ball back....
Stevie H Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Overall I thought we were distinctly average against one of the poorer sides. Even the commentators over here kept mentioning how West Brom kept giving us the ball back.... i'm quite happy for us to continue being so distinctly average. we're beating teams comfortably at the moment without even getting out of second gear, which is f***ing fantastic.

Whitey Posted April 3, 2006 Posted April 3, 2006 Kewell has "gone off the boil again" has he So what did I see in the Derby last week?? He had a quiet game..it is allowed We saw a great strike yeah, but not much else in that game either. I'm a Kewell fan, but not when he's peripheral in the games - he needs to be more involved. For me...two quiet games.
