He was pretty poor at the start of the season, and in the Super Cup Final he was shocking, but over the weeks just before his injury he was looking very good indeed. Playing well, making chances, linking up with the strikers well.

he really is a quality player when you think about it, especially through the center IMO..

Wouldn't be the need to use Riise in midfield if he was available either, meaning a bit less messing around at left back.

He's one of those players that has a big reputation yet you are still waiting to see him play well consistantly. I was impressed with his attititude he really seemed like he wanted to play for us and willing to play a bit part.
