Reo-Coker is a fantastic player, definitely one for the future, and baby Rio isn't a bad defender at all, Rafa and the boys would turn him into quite a player. Definitely wouldn't mind this coming off at all.

completely agree. Reo-Coker looks consistently good and very energetic.

I think Reo is a little small in stature to be a Rafa CM, he likes them a little sturdier.

 

As for Anton, I think he is a cracking prospect. Better now that Rio was at his age. He's big, quick, and doesn't mind getting stuck in. With the right mentor, he could be quite something. Who better than Sami? He could teach him the touch stuff, and Ferdi would be starting with a box of tricks, physically.

If we buy Agger I can't see us spending +10m for AF, however I've been very impressed by Reo-Coker. I could see him as a Hamann replacer after next season.

Reo-Coker looks a good player. I'd say if he stays fit he'll be a top midfielder for a few years. I don't think I could handle a Ferdinand at the club though.

I'd be absolutely terrifid at the prospect of Sutty and Anny Road coming up with tunes for him that were even worse than those.

Anton Ferdinand has set the seal on a new long-term contract with West Ham.

 

The England Under-21 star will now remain at Upton Park until the summer of 2010 after being rewarded for the giant strides he has taken over the previous year.

 

Hammers boss Alan Pardew told the club's official website: "I'm overjoyed we have signed another of our top young players on a long-term contract and Anton fully deserves the new deal.

 

"He has made fantastic progress since I came to the club and I want him to be a big player for this club in the years to come.
