Eiler99 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Liverpool completed their first signing of 2006 on New Years Day when youngster Paul Anderson officially became a Reds player following a trial period at the club. The former Hull City winger arrives at Anfield as part of the deal that sees John Welsh move in the opposite direction. A highly-rated 17-year old, Anderson has impressed in several appearances for the reserves and also caught the eye in the recent FA Youth Cup victory over Cardiff. Born in Leicester, he joined Hull as a trainee and was spotted by Liverpool scouts when playing for the Tigers' Academy side. from the Offal
Guest Jodus Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 That's a great touch by the club. They could easily have shelved this news and waiting for something bigger, but I believe the children are our future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Damn, that was inspired!
KD07 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 They didn't even bother to take his photo. Trouble brewing me thinks. The lad's going to feel that he's unappreciated. Anderson to Spurs.

Frosty Jack Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Welshys gone then? How can this be? he was the new steven gerrard.
Guest Jodus Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Hull rocks.1134462 I thought that was Brighton... I wouldn't take the Luton game too lightly. Hamann and Potter should start central, Warnock and Traore in the backline, Carson in goal, and Pongo with Moro up front if fit. Whether the rest is padded out with first teamers like Garcia, Riise and Carra, or reserves like Whitbread and Mellor, we shall see.
Cam Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 He looks like Welsh in that piccie - I think Taylor's ripped us off, we've paid £1m for our own player.
PortlandRed Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Looks like he has Clark Kent hair. Fit right in.
Kahnee Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 how many scouts do we have if were watching the hull youth side!!!????1134420 Twelvety. Obviously.

Potter, Warnock & Traore!

Siang Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Feck me, I'd hate to see a line up when you would take a game lightly... Potter, Warnock & Traore!1135733 we may just see this probable line up Carson Finnan - Carra - Traore - Warnock Pongo-Didi-Sissoko-Riise Gerrard Cisse it's a scary line-up...
Tetti Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Presumably Potter will have to be loaned back from Hearts 1135737 and his cracked vertebra is mended ...
Falconhoof Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Welshys gone then? How can this be? he was the new steven gerrard.1134485 The lure of lining up alongside Nick Bramby was too great for Welshy to turn down. Hull fans must be licking their lips at that midfield.
Gilps Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Presumably Potter will have to be loaned back from Hearts 1135737 and Whitbread from Millwall
