It's not that they haven't spent. It's that they've spent like a kid playing Football Manager for the first time. And, yes, zero ambition to push on and dominate, especially in the post-Pep era.

I’ve always been grateful for saving us from going to the wall. Staying at Anfield was really important to me too. Hiring Klopp a masterstroke but outside of that they have been pretty bad. Overall their tenure has been a huge success but there are caveats.

 

We spent years with the best manager in the world being fed scraps. Imagine for a second having signed a fourth great forward rather than flogging the other three to death and occasionally playing the cult hero (some great moments Divock). Why always bare bones? Have four and let them all start three of every four games. Imagine we’d had the balls to go and get Son before he went to Spurs given Klopp loved him.
 

Not one person in here can think Bradley is going to end up a reliable right back choice, can they? If it happens it should be a bonus not an expectation.
