Taking a few mates back to Liverpool this weekend, arriving tomorrow night from London and staying until Sunday.

 

I left a good few years ago and don't get back as often as I'd like. Still have a few mates up there but whenever I ask them about town they just say they never go anymore so not much help...

 

So, can anyone recommend any decent venues for the weekend? Looking for decent bars (nothing too mental as I turned 40 this year), may go to a club at a push...again nothing too mad.

Also out all day Saturday so some good pub recommendations would be really appreciated.
