Cancer....

Got a mate who is in the final throws of terminal cancer, he just happens to be the wifes cousin as well.

Was never a really close mate but we shared a common bond of both being a Red and played footie together for a good few years, he is a wee bit older than me but we come from the same village.

We watched the 2005 Final together in a local boozer and he was the first to hug me after we won ,basically picked me off the floor as I was on my knees in ecstacy.

Its tearing his family apart just now, he has a 15 year old daughter who is still not aware of the true magnitude of what is happening, he only realised it himself yesterday after getting test results from the docs.

Basically told he has weeks(singular) to go, everything they have tried has either made him worse or not worked.

Getting a special licence so him and his long term partner can get married asap.
