1. Finish in the top five.

2. Win the Europa League

3. Hope the FA Cup Final is between two teams that finish in the top 5 (Arsenal/ Mancs or City).

4. Hope the FA Cup Final is between Birmingham City and a team that finishes in the top 5 (Arsenal/Mancs or City)

5. Is the Fair Play thing a viable option ?

Anyway, don't think 3 or 4 will happen, unless we win the Europa League (unlikely) or finish top 5 (highly unlikely) - no European football next season :(

Wouldn't be too fussed if we don't have European football next season.

Europa League's dull anyway, Only get's interesting at the semi final stage and we seem to always have a hangover after a Thursday game.

It's bad enough losing players because we are not in the CL, we will be as attractive as Everton without any European football.

Though I understand these thoughts Kev, may I just say this season has been just plain weird! Not just for us, but all over the premiership, so for me its gonna be a wait until the end of the season and see what plays out, because the way its gone so far, for every team this season, anything could happen.

Who knows, United have been s*** this season, but are top of the league, IF things even themselves out overa courseof a season, I expect them to start playing blinding football soon and lose every game, especially after we t*** them at Anfield. We'll break them like we broke Chelsea. :mischief:

A young player with the ability to see the bigger picture, shouldnt go crybaby about joining us when we're not in europe for one season. If that really bothers a player of, say 22, even though he has got plenty of years in the game, then i'd question whether they have the right mentality to play for LFC anyway.

One season. What impatient tool cant wait one season?

I agree. There was some weirdo claiming that, without european football, we're as attractive as everton... ;)

I'm not sure disagreeing with your viewpoint, or even describing it as 'bizarre' is 'slagging you off' :D I wouldnt dream of it, personally.

Wasn't aimed at you per se ;)

Not bothered about Europa next year, even might be a bonus without it and concentrate on the league.

Get Carroll back, go on a run concentrating on attacking football, add 2/3 quality players in the summer [Enrique, who's excellent, Young and Cahill...the former two on contracts that are running down] and without Europa next year top four is very achievable.

Better priority for me.

this whole club needs rebuilding. if we dont get european football then so be it. we need to get "Liverpool" players signed. if anyone knows how to spot them its Kenny. they will join whether we are in Europe or not. we will likely spend big in the summer. the ambition of the club will be there for all to see. we are a massive club. players will want to come here. we'll be ok without European football for one season. so long as we dont make a habit of it.

But you ended up saying 'this'. Are you disappointed?

I want to win the UEFA Cup this season. But I'm not too fussed if we're not in it next season - might do us a world of good.

Look how Everton, Spurs Villa etc. all did when not distracted by European footy. They all punched well above their weight.

Add to the quality in our squad in the summer and get rid of the pooh + new owners + Kenny = ITS ON - 2012/2013 :)

If Arsenal or Utd win the FA Cup doesn't another Europa spot go into the league ? If so, top 6 is what counts.

Only if the losing finalist has qualified for Europe through the league. Otherwise, the place goes to the losing finalist.
