It's down to a bloke who lives near Kenny. He's got an ongoing dispute with some Gangsters. He used to own Shorrocks in Formby, which they've fire bombed twice, and a pub in Birkdale, which they've recently burnt down. They've also shot at his house while he was at home with his wife and kids. Another one of the lads lives down the same place - is it Danny Agger ?

Anyways, the bloke saw some thugs near his house and called the police. They dumped the grenade on Kenny's wall, randomly.

A mother and son have been charged in connection with the discovery of a hand grenade outside the home of Kenny Dalglish. The live grenade was found on the garden wall of the former Liverpool star’s house in Southport, in July 27.

The incident was not thought to be an attack on Mr Dalglish or his family.

The grenade was found by police searching the local area as part of a continuing investigation.

Nobody was injured in the incident at the house in Selworthy Road, Birkdale, but the army’s bomb disposal team were called to safely remove the device.

Mark Johnston, 21, of Maqueen Street, Old Swan, Liverpool, has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit criminal damage with the intent to endanger life.

Carol Johnston, 50, also of Maqueen Street, Old Swan, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Both will appear before South Sefton magistrates in Bootle, Merseyside, tomorrow.

Two men were earlier also charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

Simon Lewis Ignacio, 28, of Lee Park Avenue, Belle Vale, Liverpool, and Carl Higgins, 29, of Helston Green, Huyton-with-Roby, Merseyside, are due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on September 2.
