One of my best mates got himself into all kind of sh* a couple of years back, on a whim moved his young family to Spain, bought a house over there on a mortgage even though he hadn't sold over here, no job, little money and young kids. He hit me for £2k 'until the house sold', then another £2k a few weeks later as the sale was imminent. A day later he informed me the sale had fallen through, they were in neggy eggy in spain, they handed the keys back and came home.

He moved back into his house and we had a chat. He was still selling, I told him to move into rented once he'd sold, move near to his wife's family for support and keep his head down in case the Spanish bank sold the debt and somebody came a knocking.

Unbeknown to him we saw his house on the internet, he had put the price of the house he'd spent a year trying to sell UP. Had he taken my advice he'd be missing this price collapse, he wouldn't be traceable when the baillifs come knocking and I'd have been paid too. A year down the road I've heard f*ck all from him, not a peep. Apart from a text every week religiously with the latest stupid f*cking joke. Now tonight I've had an e-mail, he's invited me onto facebook!!

Now I'm mightily pissed off with him for being so stoopid and taking me with him, but more so because he's not had the decency to pick up the phone in a year to tell me what's going on. The money has almost certainly gone, it's a lot of cash and I'm pissed off about it but accept the fact he's embarrassed could be the reason to not pick up the phone.

But sending me stupid jokes and inviting me onto facebook?

What the f*ck is going on in his head. I can't bring myself to call, he's one of my oldest friends but he's acted like a c*nt.

Or am I being a c*nt, perhaps it's me?
