According to internet rumours, he apparantly called Strachan a few choice names and said that he is bigger than Celtic and could get into any team in the uk and stormed out of the changing rooms.

dontcha' just love footballers...

Dont rate him that highly. I have only watched Celtic a few times but he hasnt impressed me. And when ive seen him play for the Ireland he has been really s***.

I've not watched McGeady really, though I know Celtic fans think he's great (as does he, it seems). I'm always worried about 'big in Scotland' type players though... James McFadden, Shaun Maloney, Barry Ferguson - all players bonded by the fact they were considered among the best in the SPL, but were never anything more than woeful in England. Hutton and Gordon at Spurs and Sunderland have done okay though.

McGeady is consistently inconsistent. He shows flashes now and again but is nowhere near the level of player -

(a) He thinks he is

(b) People thought he would be after his promise shown as a lad.

Any Celts i know are split on this, the anti Strachan brigade, and there are some even after the recent success, think Strachan hates him and is trying to force him out of the club and some believe Mc Geady is acting like the typical bellend modern footballer.

He's quick and can beat players, but he can't cross to save his life and often makes the wrong decision. He does have talent though, could be one good manager away from being a good player.

McFadden wasn't woeful in England. He did ok at Everton and very well at Birmingham in trying to keep them up

Barry Ferguson didnt light up the premiership, but was a steady performer for Blackburn for a while (and was made captain)

I don't see how either of those two could be thought of as better or worse than Hutton or Gordon as a premiership player. IN fact you could argue that Gordon has been the most disappointing

Think he's the Scots/Irish version of Schweinsteiger albiet without the rasping shot and teutonic efficency.

And the good-looking girlfriend, I presume.
