Why haven't they roped him in and let Gillett do some verbage.

seems a fairly stupid comment. i think its gonna be a pretty safe, PR interview with none of the serious questions brought up and even if they are itll be your a publicity orientated answer and not the precise truth. this is business to this f***** and not good business. i honestly dont see what h thinks he is gonna gain here apart from a few headlines. everything said at the start has proven to be a pack of lies and the neither of the pair have any credibility at this point. not imo, tragically this is a straight up fact :(

If DIC offered stupid money, Hicks would not sell. He cannot think of a price he would sell.

 

He has never agreed to sell to DIC, he DID talk to them "months ago" about a 10% stake but the valuation they gave was too high.

 

 

Says the club is sorted for 2 years and they will worry about finding more money if and when they need to.

 

Are the looking for other investement? - He cant predict the future, we will let it unfold.

 

Fans should know best football stadium in world is going to be built, amazing manager in Rafa who shows a real intent to do the right thing, total backing 100%, we are talking about the summer, hopefully he will stay beyond his contract.

Well he unequivocally denied he will sell, wants to sell or will ever sell his stake. He cant blame the tabloids for twisting this one. 100% - I do not, and have not tried to sell.

There was a conscious effort by Hicks to use the word "football" and not "soccer". Constantly repeating how brilliant the stadium will be and refusing to discuss the debt. Very PR-ey.

Not sure he cares if he tells mistruth to protect his position. Was he not saying talk of selling a minority share to DIC was complete and utter fabrication. Now he says it was true. Said the valuation was too high for DIC, exactly as reported. Now he says he cant think of a figure he'd sell at, but he had a valuation in mind some weeks back eh. With this man I'd believe it when I see it.

When did Hicks deny offering a minority share to DIC? And to be fair, I wouldn't expect him to state the figure he'd sell at.

Despite what Hicks says I note that the Guardian site has an article this morning saying that DIC has not gone away and is intent on buying Liverpool. Article goes on to say that the RBS refinace is only a stop gap measure and does not provide the kind of money we need to compete with the top 3.

Totally agree with this. Gillett is demonstrating his unease in all this by not showing his face. There is a split. In my view, DIC will have some involvement in our club at some point. If they want us they will get us. Let's hope Gillett stabs Hicks in the back..... :popcorn:
