floyd the barber Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 i have to say i thought both were imense last night.......there was a 10min spell 2nd half where mascharano was simply sensational, buzzing around the field ending with a sensational tackle on the left hand side....how on earth anyone could question him i`ll never know. hyypia has also been superb this season and has really proved his worth by keeping onto him..

Mascherano was our only midfielder who played reasonably well. The other three were anonymous - Gerrard included
Swipe Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 After a few dodgy games, Sami has been immense since Agger got his leg blown off. I don't think i've ever seen one player make as many tackles in a game as Masch did last nite. Seemed to win them all, as well.
kop88 Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Agree, both where immense. Sami was playing like he was in his prime in 00/01. Mascherano was f***ing everywhere. Ran his b******s off. Wish some of the others grew some b******s and took a leaf out of his book

Doesn't score enough goals and Real Madrid with Makele are the only team in the history of world football ever who have used a holding midfielder because they had Carlos and Salgado and invented the position c.1999 cos they are so super dooper and we should get rid of him and bring back someone like Danny Murphy or maybe Michael Thomas because they sometimes scored goals from midfield so therefore must be better players than Mascherano. Or something like that.
MFletcher Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Mascherano always seems to be one of the few players who gives a s*** when we aren't winning with time running out. He's always flying around to win the ball back and then trying to do something creatively with it. Absolutely brilliant player.

Stevie does this too, he's normally on a mission to win us matches in the last ten minutes.
MFletcher Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 (edited) http://sport.independent.co.uk/football/pr...icle3362226.ece The club's unwillingness to secure Javier Mascherano on a permanent basis led the player's agent, Walter Tamer, to say on a radio programme in Argentina yesterday that "Liverpool have not made any offer at all to buy Mascherano and it's likely he will go to Italy next season". Great. Absolutely f***ing great. Edited January 23, 2008 by MFletcher
Guest GrandpaSimpson Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Masch wont be here next season, neither will Rafa.
floyd the barber Posted January 23, 2008 Author Posted January 23, 2008 it`ll be a disgrace if we dont complete the signing of masch....but hey we can spend 17million on 2-3 average squad players with potential instead
