I think we can see the difference when we play with intelligent players like kewell, benayoun, gerrard, kuyt, torres. I don't think it's any coincidence we're playing alot better football mainly with the likes of Pennant and Sissoko featuring much. I'm pretty much convinced we'd start screwing up if he comes back into the first team.

I thought he was playing reallywell before he got injured. I agree with the Sissoko comment though.

I don't rate Pennant. I don't think he's consistent enough or clever enough with the ball to be in the team. We look much more dangerous with Benayoun on the right than we ever did with Pennant - who's crossing and decision making can be very poor.

 

I'd sell - but that's not a popular view amongst a lot of the Pennant-lovers on here. I really can't understand why he is so highly rated.

Benni has goals and assists in him, Pennant has almost zero goals and limited assists - even on that basis it is clear to see who should and shouldnt play and thats not even mentioning the fact that Benni is much more clever with the ball and has more effective skills....

 

Funnt thread though, its like the anti-thread to all the other threads and I for one like it
