That was lovely. Applause from front to back for quality and workrate. Besiktas went to bits because they didn't get a minute's peace and we were terrific when we had it.

They played well at their place, they didn't tonight. They got the bit of luck they needed at their place, they didn't tonight. Their support was f***ing immense at their place. Home advantage and all that. Loads of different factors at play, it's b******s to say we should've beat them away because we t***ted them at home. Complete f***ing nonsense.

yes, we did, and it could all mean nothing if we do not win the next 2 games by the required margin.

 

i am chuffed to death that we won AND we played well doing so.

 

that team we played tonight was utter rubbish and it was pretty much the same side we faced at their place.

 

had we showed 50% of the effort that we showed tonight, we would have got at least a point over there.

We were poor over there but there isn't one player who hasn't given his all in any LFC game this season and to say as much is insulting.

 

The effort as mentioned elsewhere has been unstinting, even from those I don't rate, even if the quality hasn't.

Actually, we showed more than 50% of that effort and largely bossed the game over there but we couldn't have hit a cow's a rse with a banjo that night. Had we finished that night as we did tonight we could have won that game 4-2 based simply on the chances we missed badly, never mind half chances.

I have to agree with what you are saying here.

 

We can't blame it on either Agger or Alonso because neither played both games.

 

It's all well and good winning 8-0, but we still find ourselves pretty much in the same position had we won 1-0 instead of 8.

 

Having said that
