Swagger Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Why the feck would Real want Riise? Then again, why the feck did they want Heinze?
cestrianred Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Hyypia for Taylor Riise for Heinze Whispers you've heard Kev or just thoughts out loud?
Gunga Din Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 (edited) Why the feck would Real want Riise? Then again, why the feck did they want Heinze? maybe they wanted Heinze so they could swap him for Riise? personally, i'd swap Riise for a tin of Heinz tomato soup Edited September 9, 2007 by big wayne
Guest Walshey Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Meh, I think Heinze staying put at real. Think Hyppia will stay here till the end of the season, not sure about Taylor.
New York Red Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Switch then for two in jury prone players? No ta.
jon_hall Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 maybe they wanted Heinze so they could swap him for Riise? personally, i'd swap Riise for a tin of Heinz tomato soup Lucky it wasn't yer own soup.
Herbie von Smalls Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 personally, i'd swap Riise for a tin of Heinz tomato soupwhat! and give you another opportunity to complain about the warming up routine?
Guest PaulMcC Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I want Hyypia to stay til the end of the season.
M4TTA Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I want Hyypia to stay til the end of the season. i'd like the big man to stay, he can't be that far away from getting his 10 years can he?? statos???
Guest PaulMcC Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 I would hate to see him go in January and we win the league without him. He deserves a league medal.
jon_hall Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 He might do but i don't give a sht. League first, sentimentality second.
Guest Snorky Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Don't go all Mary on us, look at the subtitle - Speculation, Speculation, Speculation. Its a few rungs down from Rumour, Rumour, Rumour.
M4TTA Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 He might do but i don't give a sht. League first, sentimentality second. although i don't agree. that is exactly the way rafa would think, business first, sentimental second. Just i would love to see him get a League medal... He deserves it!
Tones Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 although i don't agree. that is exactly the way rafa would think, business first, sentimental second. Just i would love to see him get a League medal... He deserves it! Totally agree with you but its possible Sam my could get enough gamnes before Jan to get a medal (IF we were to win) although i know thats not just the same
jon_hall Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 although i don't agree. that is exactly the way rafa would think, business first, sentimental second. Just i would love to see him get a League medal... He deserves it! Don't get me wrong, so would i. But as a Liverpool fanatic, all I CARE ABOUT is winning, not who wins it for me.
Guest PaulMcC Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Don't get me wrong, so would i. But as a Liverpool fanatic, all I CARE ABOUT is winning, not who wins it for me. Aye, i'd happily have us win the league without him. It'd just be nice if he was still with us when we win it.
Guest Snorky Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Rafa has already proved that he puts winning over sentimentality by not putting Fowler on the bench in Athens.
M4TTA Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Don't get me wrong, so would i. But as a Liverpool fanatic, all I CARE ABOUT is winning, not who wins it for me. oh aye, not arguing that mate! just would be a tremendous shame for such a player to miss out on such a medal after all these years...
Gomez Posted September 9, 2007 Posted September 9, 2007 Can't see either of those moves coming off. If Heinze to real was part of some move to an intermediary, then he'd already be here. Real want him, he signed for a good few years, he's made the emotional move, that opportunity has passed. I can see us bidding for Taylor, but I can't see Sami leaving. We have limited cover there as it is, we need to increase the numbers not just maintain them. Even if Taylor comes we have an untested player who'll need time to adjust to our defensive system (as opposed to fat sam's 'hoof it' system) in a key position at a key point in the season.
