Who had a bet on us before the season started and what odds did you get?

Here are the best odds available :

Chelsea 15/8 (BetFred)

Man Utd 11/4 (Boylesports)

Liverpool 10/3 (Extrabet)

Arsenal 7/1 (Boylesports)

Most bookies have us at 2/1 or 9/4 second favourites. So, that Extrabet price is big compared with the rest of the market.

Betfair

Chelsea 2.94

Liverpool 3.15

Man Utd 4.4

Arsenal 9.2

still think Arsenal are a good price. Don't think they're gonna win the league, but 8-1 could be generous for trading purposes. All it needs is Man U and Chelsea to slip up again in the near future (which is more than possible) and Arsenal's price will be halved...

9 to 2.

The drift of the Mancs on Betfair is ridiculous considering it's the first week in September and they're two points off the top.

I think it's entirely reasonable given that they were utter crap against Sunderland - and Tottenham previously. So it's more evident than ever that they over rely on Rooney and Ronaldo and will do well to keep them fit and/or suspension free all season. Also, their summer buys haven't done much. Nani looks like a headless chicken, Anderson was rank before being hauled off on Saturday, Tevez looks lost and scared to go into the box, while Hargreaves is the same player that has disappointed so often for England. Their back-up players are poor too. If they struggle, plan B is to bring on Darren Fletcher or Chris Eagles!

Seems entirely reasonable to write Nani off after a couple of games, one in which he scored the winner. And Anderson after about sixty minutes or something. And Hargreaves after two clean sheets.

Anderson played 45 minutes and Hargreaves has been decent.
