I cant say I like Bolton in the slightest (well the one under Big Sam anyway) but there is a good article in the Telegraph about Sammy Lee it seems he has taken a lot of Liverpool with him to Bolton - all the best to him - well not that much obviously!

I've got a feeling they could really feel Allardyce's absence the way Charlton did Curbishley's last season and go down, or at least struggle in the lower half.

 

I've got mixed feelings about them because I'd like to see Lee do well and I know Kevin Nolan who is a really good lad, but on the other hand I can't stand Bolton the club and I hate games against them.

 

The whole club was built around the manager in both cases, and the team played to a higher level than the sum of their parts because of the man in charge, which is great because the club climbs higher than they otherwise could.

 

Take away that integral person though and it goes to pieces.

Worryingly Kevin Nolan in the post match interview said that Newcastle played like Bolton did last year only they were better at it than us. Not exactly a ringing endorsement for the new man. I don't think Sammy Lee will last to Christmas, poisened chalice being the 'man to follow' a club legend.
