jimbolala Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 we could swop bellemy for owen, bring back cisse and have a front 4 ofowen, cisse, crouch and kuyt...i would be happy enough with that, each would get 15 goals over the season and we would not be spendingloads on strikers

Not a chance.
jimbolala Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 in all competitions easy. that would give us 60 from the strikers, not a bad turn around, better than the options at the moment
Swipe Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 in all competitions easy. that would give us 60 from the strikers, not a bad turn around, better than the options at the moment I don't think there is any chance at all they would all score that amount. There are other teams out there with far better strikers on their books that those four, and I doubt they get 15 plus goals a season. How many games are they all starting to get that amount? Cisse is crap for a start.
jimbolala Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 cisse scored 18 goals last season, scored in the fa cup final and the cl final the year before..not a bad return for a crap player...i think we should stick with him, so cisse would get the 15owen would get 15+kuyt 15 easycrouch 15 easythere you go

Swipe Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 cisses s**** end of - bellamy without ball control I concur! Dreadful attutide as well. We were robbed of £14m when we bought him. Terrible
jimbolala Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 might as well keep him and coach him to keep the ball.just thoughts to stave off the doom merchantsi think that would be a good front 4
Knox_Harrington Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 We could f*** Cisse off for £6m, have Voronin and be up on the deal and then I could relax.
Wazz Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 (edited) Yeah, lets swop Garcia for Cheyrou while we are at it, we might need him against Lazio in the qualifiers! (do we have any re.tard smileys?) Edited June 14, 2007 by Wazzock
Guest Snorky Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I would rather have Cisse and money than Bellamy.
Guest Linton Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I would rather have Cisse and money than Bellamy. I would rather have a worldclass forward and no Cissé or Bellamy.
Benitez Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I would rather have Cisse and money than Bellamy. I'd rather you play up front than have Cisse anywhere near this club again

Chewie Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 we could swop bellemy for owen, bring back cisse and have a front 4 ofowen, cisse, crouch and kuyt...i would be happy enough with that, each would get 15 goals over the season and we would not be spendingloads on strikers we could swap Ciise for Owen and have Owen, Crouch, Kuyt and Bellamy... now that'ld be more to my liking and I'ld back across all competitions for the following Owen - 20Crouch - 15Kuyt - 15Bellamy - 12 that's 62 - a rise of 2 on your previous suggestion!!!! Chewie
superledger Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 It's all cricket anyway. If there was no money, there'd be no 8 million pound Lucas.

Mr Makaveli Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 we could swop bellemy for owen, bring back cisse and have a front 4 ofowen, cisse, crouch and kuyt...i would be happy enough with that, each would get 15 goals over the season and we would not be spendingloads on strikers I think you have a point in that we could do resonably well if we really dont have much money at all. To say that we would get 15 out of each over a season in all comps or not is just not gonna happen. if you were to say we'd get an average of 10 goals each in all comps then id believe that. cisse scored 18 goals last season, scored in the fa cup final and the cl final the year before..not a bad return for a crap player...i think we should stick with him, so cisse would get the 15owen would get 15+kuyt 15 easycrouch 15 easythere you go fair enough over a season, 4 strikers will get rotated but you're picking at players who scored these goals when they were generally first choice. At the moment Kuyt and Crouch are the starters but if Owen and Cisse came back then what? Owen and Kuyt/Crouch with Cisse picking up the cup games and the odd start... I just cant see them all getting 15 goals. its good to see some enthusiasm back in the forum so i wont get on yer back about it but if we do have no money to spend then sure, bring Cisse back as LOM dont seem to really want him and if they wont pay for him then we might aswell strengthen our team with a player who is not great but does offer use pace that we wont really have much of next season (unless Owen arrives, but Cisse is faster these days anyway). If all goes horribly wrong for us then Bellamy, Cisse, Kuyt, Crouch, Voronin wouldnt be that bad. Now that i think of it though, Bellamy is a better version of Cisse. sure we'll leave it up to the manager.
Red Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Problem with Cisse was, when he wasn't scoring he was a waste of space. Did very little to contribute to the team. At least Bellamy, Crouch and Kuyt contribute something to the build up play, even if they're not scoring the number of goals everyone would like to see.
slapnuts Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 he scored the the champions league final? are you sure Penalty
