Will Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Bjorn Borg has been talking about the city and football as he is coming over for this tennis tournament this week He's a Charlton fan and said generally nice things about us, but I particularly enjoyed his comment on the Blues, mentioned in this week's LFC magazine: "Of course I've heard of Everton. They were very good in the mid-eighties"
Jarg Armani Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 hahahahaha. could say the same about bjorn too.IFITADN'TABEENFERMCENROE!
The Hitman Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I thought he'd pulled out of the tournament,he's been bitten by a dog apparently.
Will Posted June 14, 2007 Author Posted June 14, 2007 He's not playing, but he is attending I believe
Guest Linton Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 As a Swede he is one of our few old champs that I really like. Coolness personified when playing and have never been a mediawhore. McEnroe hated it when he quit tennis, it was the same anymore he has said in interviews. I really don't want his Wimbledon record to be matched even though records is there to be broken. I just don't think theres any charisma in the tennis players these days. The 70's and 80's had lots of cool players on the tour.
R A Softlad Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Yeah, that Borg won nothing. He makes a nice line in Man Bags though.
Barnesy_10 Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I am going to the final on Sunday, providing the weather picks up.... have been the last three years and its a good day out! Always get to see Thommo there as he is an ambassador for it.... and now so is Stevie clicky
Guest Prongsy Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 borg was my hero as a boy. But then he grew into a man, and you stopped liking him. You need to watch that.

Looks like the weather is going to spoil it this year though
