Fans festival in Athens

The UEFA Champions League final in Athens on 23 May will again feature a wealth of pre-match entertainment for the fans.

 

Fan-related events

For five days leading up to the game, the UEFA Champions Festival will offer supporters a wide range of football-related activities in what is sure to be a wonderful atmosphere. The activities will take place from 11am to 11pm each day at the Ancient Olympic Stadium, Syntagma Square and Zappeion Square in the Greek capital.

 

Many attractions

Among the attractions will be a trophy display allowing fans to get their hands on, and be pictured with, European club football's most prestigious prize - the European Champion Clubs' Cup; clinics where supporters will be able to practise their skills; displays of memorabilia; and a UEFA information booth. The festival will also boast the Champions Gallery, a sound and image exhibition revisiting the proud history of the competition.

 

Memorable occasion

"We are aiming to bring the fans closer to the match and make them feel that they are part of the final, while at the same time promoting football and its values to the supporters," said UEFA. "In doing this, we will also give the opportunity for the local population to experience the final as a memorable occasion for their city."

Well at least this is more central and not at the ground, though i have no f***ing idea where Zappeion square is.
