Sampdoria chief in Liverpool for Padelli, Quagliarella talks

Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta is in Liverpool today for talks with Reds officials.

 

Marotta wants an update on Liverpool's plans over on-loan Sampdoria goalkeeper, Daniele Padelli. The young shot-stopper can be signed permanently by Liverpool for £2 million.

 

Liverpool are also keen on Samp striker Fabio Quagliarella and Marotta plans to discuss terms with Liverpool management.

Padelli is an interesting one. He's hardly played while he's been here has he ?

 

Haven't heard him mentioned much in the reserves reports so is there enough for Rafa to make a judgement on investing £2 million.

 

He had enough confidence to have him on the bench last night I suppose, but £2 million seems a lot for a young backup goalie. Just shows what a bargain Carson was. We should make a tidy profit on the gap-toothed net custodian.
