After celebrating with the team, he calmy walked over to the chelsea group and shook their hands. Shared a few words with Terry and Lampard too.

IMO, it was a classy act on his part - and its good to see him maturing as a captain.

That's because he scored an own goal on purpose as part of a covert operation to get that transfer to Chelsea.

Keep up.

you're dead right... butt hat was under a totally different situation.. of course to Gerrard he must have been amazed at the reaction to his humble reply... however, im sure he understands now.

goos game from gerrard.. I hope he knows that without scoring a screamer, he was a driving force in our play and we need him at the club.. doesnt tend to get as much credit now as before.

Mourinho sounds increasingly desperate tonight - he has refused to acknowledge the defeat, offer any words of praise our way, delude himself about the dominant team - a man who cannot get the measure of us and continues to embarass himself and his club.

A fool i continue to enjoy beating.

"Have some of that you cockernee t***s" - how he kept a straight face I don't know.

Its different from the carling cup because a) we won so the onus fell upon him b) he wasn't in the midst of a bandly handled transfer situation.

You know what? I thought Gerrard was a monster tonight - kept hassling the Chelsea midfield, kept tracking back to keep the lid on Joe Cole and Kalou - an absolute f***ing monster. Haven't seen him play that well 'overall' in a long long time. Well in Stevie!

he's still in denial, and prolly will be for sometime, prolly will be experiencing recurring nightmares of the defeat. heh he's still talking about luis 'ghost' goal after 2 seasons ffs.
